Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing what I wear during fall in LA! This is the perfect outfit for the weather we have in SoCal. I’m fortunate enough to live in a place where it’s pretty good weather year round but sometimes you crave the different seasons and the pretty foliage. It doesn’t get too cold during fall so I have to dress accordingly so I don’t burn up but also embrace the fall fashion trend. I think I got pretty well in dressing for that as this is my fourth fall living in California. At least it gets a lot cooler than when I lived in Manila where there was no fall and no cool temperatures to semi dress for fall. I found a happy medium and love how I styled this look and it is great for anyone who lives in SoCal like me or in a place where it is too warm. Keep reading to find out more what I wear during fall in LA and my outfit details!
What I Wear During Fall in LA
This outfit I feel is very on trend and great for the season. As you can see I embraced the neutrals and really love it. I talked about a lot of these pieces in my wish list post here. I was inspired by other bloggers I follow on Instagram and those cute Pinterest outfits. I guess this is my take on those popular outs as a mid/plus size girl. I think I proved you can rock that style in any size.
I bought a pack of bodysuits and out of the four colors this beige is my favorite. It is such a pretty color for fall. It’s from Shein and I’m wearing a 2X. I usually wear a size 14/16 and it fits perfect on me. I got my regular size and it is true to size. What I love about this bodysuit is it is so comfy and doesn’t dig in if you know what I mean. I was so comfy in it and I love the neckline. Such a great layering piece too. I highly suggest picking the pack of four up. My skirt is from the summer and since it isn’t too cold here I can get away with wearing a short skirt. It’s from Aerie and was a bit pricey but I get a lot of use out of it and I’m transitioning it to fall so getting my money’s worth. I’m wearing a XXL which I sized up for length but still it is short so keep that in mind. It’s a bit big around the waist as I sized up but still manageable. That was the base of the outfit.

I had so much fun accessorizing this outfit. First off is this fedora hat. I never thought I was a hat person but I wanted to try something new and step out of my comfort zone and I’m impressed. With my hair down it looks so cute and I guess I suit it but let me know. I love the color and it went so well with the outfit. I went with my quilted neutral bag and it matched perfectly. I love how good this bag can be for any season. Then on to my knee high boots. These are my first pair in this style and I quite like it. I didn’t think I would as I’m a sucker for the over the knee boot but these have stolen my heart too. I love the look and it is great with this skirt. Lastly is my pearl initial necklace which I just thought finished the outfit with match pearl bow earrings too!

Now if I need to warm up the look then adding a shacket which is a big fall trend does the trick. I’ll talk more about it in a separate blog post but adding a warm coat to the look usually solves it. I could wear mine like this for the aesthetic of the pictures but it is good with the outfit. So there are different ways to layer the look to accommodate for the weather you live in. You can add tights if it is cold or not if it’s too hot. Add a coat if you want and find a matching one that looks good. This outfit is versatile you can style it for whatever weather you live in and still look good.
That is it for what I wear during fall in LA! I really was looking forward to sharing this look with you. I have more fall outfit content to come which is all under this page here. So stay tuned for the looks that I’ve been styling for this year. I just wish I had more fall backdrops to shoot my pictures but taking them around my apartment complex is my only choice right now. Well I hope you liked this outfit and let me know what your ideal fall outfit is for your weather. Thanks so much for reading about what I wear during fall in LA! xo
