Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing my vanity tour + organizing my makeup collection! I finally got around to organizing this and couldn’t wait to show you. It was my first project for me new apartment which I talk about here. I was supposed to do this in my old place but never got around but this apartment has the perfect space. So here is a look at how I organized everything and all I did to my bathroom space. Keep reading to see the details about my vanity tour + organizing my makeup!
Vanity Tour + Organizing My Makeup
I’m quite proud of my set up. It’s been a dream of mine to have these “blogger-esque” or beauty youtuber/guru acrylic drawers to organize my makeup. It makes me seem like a proper influencer. I don’t know how long I have envisioned this space in my head and now it’s a reality. I have quite the collection now of makeup and beauty products so they needed a home and a better place other than my makeup bags. My new apartment has this space which is in between my bedroom and the bathroom portion which makes it perfect to place my makeup. It has this huge vanity area and it’s great for my collection. It’s also not in the actually bathroom so it won’t be affected by the steam of the shower. I couldn’t be happier with this area and had the best time putting it together which I share down below.
For now this is what the large acrylic drawer looks like. I put in most of my makeup. I organized it by product and know which product goes there. I displayed my pretty lip products on top and other products I reach for. This is the makeup that is used but not part of my everyday routine. If I want to change things up then I go into here and pick up what I want to use that day. I surround it with extra pink holders that store my brushes and lip liners. Also put my light up makeup mirror right in front too for display as it’s cute and when I need to use it for close ups.

I recently bought this one and it is used for my everyday makeup I reach for. I was using my makeup bag but I wanted to have a mini one and to display it. I need to fill it up more and rearrange things but for now this is what it looks like. I put my everyday eyeshadow palettes, base makeup and favorite lip products plus ones that look good. I’ll share my makeup collection one day when I get it more put together and how I like it to stay.
This side has my beaded acrylic makeup brush holder with all my new brushes I haven’t gotten around to using yet. Plus it’s store for new makeup sponges too. The makeup brushes I do use everyday are on top in holders I got from Target for $1 during Valentine’s Day hence the hearts on it. I think it’s cute and matches my decor anyway. I definitely need to spend a day dedicated to washing my makeup brushes. Then I don’t only store makeup related items but my hair accessories. I have this acyclic headband organizer that holds quite a few headbands. I just bought another to go right next to it to store more scrunchies inside and headbands.
Lastly we have the other side of the vanity which houses my everyday skincare essentials and hair products. I just bought this 4 section organizer which fits perfectly. I got it at TJmaxx for $10 on clearance which is a steal. The bottom and back has a few scuff marks but you can’t see it anyways. I might paint over the writing later on and maybe DIY it to fit my aesthetic but for now it looks good. I didn’t really follow what it says but just organized it how I knew it would be easy to grab. Also since it’s currently fall, I have a few decor pieces including this pearl pumpkin and letterboard sign. Every holiday I will change it out which I’m looking forward too.
Here is the full video to watch the process from beginning to end.
That was my vanity tour + organizing my makeup collection! I am so happy with this space and I can’t wait to share more of my home with you. Now that I have my own apartment and space to decorate and buy furniture for, I am excited to see what everything will look like. I manage to pack everything correctly and labeled the boxes that it was so easy to get this put together rather quickly on my standards of course. Stay tuned for my next home projects. Let me know how you store your makeup and if you have as much as me. I feel like mine is quite tame compared to others but who knows! So thanks for reading about my vanity tour + organizing my makeup with me! xo
