Happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing the outfit I wore for a day at a ranch! I went last month and had to show you all the photos I took. This was just meant for me and I didn’t plan on making a blog post about it when I was shooting these photos but I loved how they turned out and would be a waste not to share so here I am to give you a look atย the outfit I wore for a day at a ranch and a few story times of my day!
The Outfit I Wore For a Day At a Ranch
An iconic red barn! I was so excited to shoot here. I’ve been to this place before which is called Rancho Oso in Santa Barbara, California. It’s an RV park and I visited this place when I was 11 years old. I wish I had the pictures I took back then to compare all these years later but sadly I’m not sure where they are. It’s wild that I was here all those years ago and I’m glad to visit again. As you can see I took these photos with my iPhone to get that wide angle to get the full shot of the barn.
It’s just so cute and I couldn’t get enough of the barn. I was not sure what to wear to a day at the ranch so I think my outfit sufficed. It was a warm summer day a crop top and denim shorts was my go to. I love my top’s pattern and it fit the photos well and can we talk about the matching bow. I linked my outfit details below and similar options as well. It’s a pretty cute outfit and was great for exploring and taking photos around the ranch.
Did someone say stables? I loved these photos and looked forward to seeing the horses. They were obviously out during the day but this was still a fun spot and to look around. I truly felt like I was on set of a movie. Was I looking for a cute ranch hand to sweep me off my feet? Yes, but sadly unlike a Hallmark movie it didn’t happen.
All the farm animals were out and about though. So that made up for the fact I didn’t fall in love with a cowboy or shirtless misunderstood ranch hand. I read too many romance novels and romantic movies, don’t I? Well I got to pet the horses and they were super friendly. This brown one loved the attention and kept coming over for me to pet him. I loved giving him attention and he gladly accepted. There were goats and chickens too. I also saw a baby pig which I kept calling Babe so another movie reference. Honestly I felt like I was in the Hannah Montana movie and should have done the Hoedown Throwdown dance while I was there.

There were these cute cabins you could rent. They had different colors and I choose the brown on to match my outfit. To see more of the colors then watch my day in the life vlog I linked below. This would be so fun to rent for a night with friends and have a good old fashion camping adventure.
I haven’t seen a teepee like this since elementary school. I really felt like I was on one again while I toured and explored around the ranch. It was so cool and it was massive. I’m 5’9 and this was so tall. It just looked amazing and the setting and background really made me feel I was about to enter a western.
Right next to the teepee was these stagecoaches. Is that what they are called? Or are they covered wagons? It’s been a while since I was in elementary school learning about these sorts of things. Whatever they are called it was so cool and a fun setting for a camp fire and have the stereotypical camp night filled with scary stories and smores.

That was the outfit I wore for a day at a ranch! I had such a fun day and enjoyed it so much. I’m glad I got to share a glimpse of my day with you. Are you like me who imagines a movie in their head and it might happen? I love inserting myself into these random situations like this but that might be the dreamer in me. I’d love to know if you ever visited a place like this? Thanks so much for reading about the outfit I wore for a day at a ranch! xo
