Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing my summer reading list + books I’ve read! As you learned from my last blog post here, I’ve had such a fun summer. Not only have I’ve been swimming at the pool everyday but somedays I just lounge by the pool and read. The internet hasn’t been too strong where I’ve been staying so it’s lead me to be more offline which is great. I’ve been reading a lot and even doing my own writing. I’m so grateful for the time and not being on social media all day long. I have so many books I read and still on my to be read list but I will share a mini review on two. I’m excited to share more book content on the blog as it’s been a goal of mine for a while. Now that read quite a bit it’s time to do so. Keep reading to find out what was on my summer reading list + books I’ve read!
Summer Reading List + Books I’ve Read
I read on my iPad Pro so I buy a lot of my books on iBooks. I honestly don’t mind reading on a tablet. I think I’ve only read on an iPad since 2014 so I’m so used to it now. Every book I’ve read is still saved on and it’s one of the reasons I have one. Since I didn’t have internet connection for a while I was glad that the books still worked on my iPad. One day I kid you not I just sat in bed and read. It was so nice and relaxing. I felt like I was in another world.
I have discovered quite a few different books. I do still love my YA romances which is majority of the books I have. However I dipped my feet into mysteries and thrillers which caught my attention. Also I hate to admit I recently got into “spicy” books. I didn’t think I would admit that but there you go. It just adds some spice to the reading experience. Sometimes I skip over it and sometimes it makes the story even better. It’s something I didn’t think I would get into but being 28 now really changed that.
To Be Read List
Punk 57 by Penelope Douglas
Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
The Invisiable Life of Addie LaRue by V.E Schwab
Swear on This Life by Renee Carlino
Marriage For One by Ella Maise
The Idea of You by Robinne Lee
The Enemy Trap by Maren Moore
The Spanish Love Deception by Elena Armas
Under the Influence by Hilary Rose Bodiford
The Off Campus Series by Elle Kennedy
I have a Good Reads account here if you want to see more of my book lists. I’ve read more but didn’t photograph them but I can do an updated version maybe a fall version soon. These books I listed are now on my iPad for me to read and I’m slowly completing it. I added a few more than I thought I would but I discovered Booktok and that’s been dangerous but fun at the same time. I’ve found new books to read but it’s overwhelming that I want to read them all. I’m excited for all these and will update you once I read them and my thoughts.
My Policeman by Bethan Roberts
This was my first summer read. Did I read this just because of Harry Styles? Yes. Yes I did. I’m the kind of person who likes reading the book before the movie so I wanted to be ahead and read it now. It was kind of slow at first but I got into and enjoyed it. I don’t think I’ve read anything like it and enjoyed the plot and storyline. I need to read more stories like this and get more into this genre. I did like it and can’t wait for the movie to come out.
The Deal by Elle Kennedy
The second one I started reading at the start of summer was the first book to the Off Campus series. I saw this all over Booktok and Booktube. I’ve recently gotten into both and everyone seems to rave about this book. I can see they hype. I sometimes am skeptical about over hyped things for any category but it lives up to the expectation and I am too in love with this book. This is exactly what I love to read and it just seems perfect for me. I remember reading so many similar books like this back in my teen years. I would so want this to happen to me. I enjoyed the story and the plotline is pretty good. I highly recommend reading this yourself and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series.
That was my summer reading list + books I’ve read! I can’t wait to share more book content here on the blog and hope you enjoyed it. I think I’m going to go read some more again. I’ve totally replaced my evening TV time to reading which I do not mind. It’s so relaxing and makes me so happy. I’m so glad I discovered reading again this year and did a lot of it. I’d love to know any of your book suggestions to add to my ever growing list and if you read any on my list. Let me know in the comments. Thanks so much for reading about my summer reading list + books I’ve read! xo
