Happy Friday! Today I’m finally sharing my Las Vegas travel and photo diary! It’s been on my travel bucket list for ages and I finally got to visit. I can’t believe when I wrote that blog post about where I’d like to travel I would see the places I put on there. I just did it out of fun not really thinking I’d get to o but think of it as sort of a guide later on but it did help and I guess I manifested it. I guess that leads me to sharing all the photos I took when I was in Nevada. I’ve done quite a few photo diaries of my trips and I love documenting them here on the blog. I’ve done some when I still lived in the Philippines like Palawan and Baguio. Then my New York City photo diary has to be my favorite I did but this comes so close to it. It’s such a joy for me to have these and I love sharing them. So keep reading for my Las Vegas travel and photo diary!
Las Vegas Travel and Photo Diary
Travel OOTD Day 1
So this is the outfit I wore when I left my LA apartment. We I packed up my suitcase which of course I vlogged and headed on my way to where I stayed in another RV park for two days with my dad and his friend. We didn’t head out right away as we made reservations a little late so we had to stay in California a little longer. Honestly this is my go to comfy travel outfit and it also looked so cute. Too bad it didn’t match my suitcases though. I’ve taken this suitcase and duffel bag with me a lot of places so it’s traveled as much as I have.
Travel OOTD Day 2
Dancing in the Desert
The road trip going was quite eventful. I created a road trip playlist and I played Vegas Girl by Conor Maynard an embarrassing amount of time. It was the song of the trip of course. Then I took a quick nap on the couch as I was tired. When I woke up we were in the middle of nowhere and it was sunset and being in the middle of the desert during that time was so cool so you can see my excitement while taking these pictures. A while later we stopped again right before we hit the border and my dad accidentally dropped his hearing aide. He didnโt realize until we got to the place so we had to drive all the way back and look on the ground in the middle of the desert with our phone flashlights. We eventually found it but it was quite the sight of us just bending down looking at the ground trying to find this teeny device. I regret not filming or taking a picture of it. I unfortunately didnโt get to shoot the โWelcome to Nevadaโ sign as it was dark and the road we were on didnโt have a big one. I was kind of disappointed but I knew I was in Nevada anyways. Both times we went in to the state after the hearing incident I couldnโt take a picture but i saw it was a small sign that said Nevada.
Where I Stayed
I actually didnโt stay in Las Vegas sadly. We actually stayed in the motor home at an RV Park in Pahrump, Nevada called Preferred RV Park. It was about 60 miles from Vegas so an hour drive. It was free to stay in as my dadโs friend is a member so it was much cheaper to just drive there instead of get a hotel. Much more convenient and felt like home. The park was quite nice. It was actually really cold when we arrived and rainy which in my head the desert is supposed to be hot and dry but o guess it was a freak sort of thing. It started to warm up though and i could explore the park with a sun dress and go swimming in the heated indoor pool they had. I went swimming once and it was so nice. I got to take so many pictures at the park and a few old ladies were gossiping and called me over to say how pretty I was and what I was doing. I had to explain I was a blogger and did this for a living which they found so interesting. It was nice and I want to be them when I get that age. Just sitting by the pool gossiping to each other and realizing all the time. Sounds amazing. I really liked the park and it was close to a lot of casinos and places to shop at.
Desert OOTD
The first day we went out it was super chilly as I said so thatโs why I wore two jackets. It was super sunny and bright but really windy. The reason we went out here was my dadโs friend has a piece of land he owns and wanted to visit it so took us along with him. It was fun roaming the desert and took some cool pics while I was there. Also I see why I donโt live in the desert. It was so dry out there.
Las Vegas Night 1
Las Vegas Afternoon & Night 2
Las Vegas Sign
We went back to Las Vegas on Tuesday and went a bit earlier this time. I really wanted to go to the Fabulous Las Vegas sign and it was the perfect time to go as the lightning was perfect. It was quite a long line so I just went to the side and took my pictures that way. It was easier and I got the perfect shots and when I didnโt I just removed the people in the background with an app. I also saw a mini chapel to get married in and an Elvis impersonator which was on my bucket list to see while I was there and I got to do that but wasnโt fast enough to take pictures of it but glad I saw them. I needed to see all the clichรฉ things while I was there.
Las Vegas Strip
Next was the Strip again. This time we explored another side that we didnโt go see on night one. It was perfect weather and so nice out. I love these pictures and the one of me on the bridge was a Live Photo and the wind blew my hair just right that it gave me supermodel hair for a second. It was so cool and the wind was definitely a paid actor for that one. I wish I could show you but it might still be up on my IG. I really wanted those huge snippy cup things with an icee but I couldnโt find a cheap one and wasnโt pay that much for it plus it might have alcohol in it and that much would have made me too drunk to enjoy the trip so I didnโt drink during my visit. When you take two senior citizens with you Vegas isnโt as fun so I did the sightseeing things and not the party thing. Maybe next time if I go with someone my age.
Souvenirs Haul
Then I went souvenir shopping. Of course I did because its tradition wherever I go. I always pick up a keychain and a magnetic now and look at the bears. I was disappointed to learn they donโt sell a similar teddy bear to the one I have that I bought in NYC but I saw these. I was tempted to buy one but didnโt. Itโs cute though. Hereโs what I did end up buying for myself. I picked up a few things for my dad too this time since he went with me and I didnโt by any for anyone this time around. I just wanted keychains and I got them. I also got that hot pink mug which is so cute.
Wrong Kind of Paris
The lighting was just right when we were walking the Strip. We were on the other side this time and got to walk in this area. I really wanted a photo here at the “Eifel Tower” and I did and turns out not too many people so I was lucky so I did a full on photo shoot. I so wish I could see the real thing so when I do in the future I will put them side by side and say started from the bottom now I’m here. So here’s to hoping this is just the beginning and I can take pictures at the real Paris.
Casino Sightseeing
We manage to enter a few casinos. I think we went to the Cosmopolitan and Caesars Palace which was a goal of mine since I saw them in movies too. I promised my cousin I will go there one day after watching all the Hangover movies and I did. It was so fun and I was in amazement the whole time. It’s funny how I don’t have any photos inside but I took one of my dad as he was so tired following me around as I explored and took everything in.
My Milkshake Brings…
Like the first night, the food situation was a bust. Everything was closed so again we got pizza at Sbarro which is funny as I ate that in NYC too and a lot in Manila. So it’s familiar and pretty good. I also got a milkshake at the food court and the lighting was pretty good for indoors so I did another photo shoot with my strawberry milkshake. Hopefully one day I can finally eat a fancy dinner in Las Vegas but this trip had other plans.
Bellagio Fountain Show
Once dinner was over, we got to watch the fountain show a few times. It was amazing and after seeing so many vlogs and shows about it I saw it in person as well. I got a few clips of it but my dad filmed the whole thing. It was magical and afterwards I got some photos by the fountain. Can we appreciate how pretty my highlighter is in this picture? Plus my makeup turned out pretty well. I only wore makeup the two times I went to Vegas as I needed to et all dressed up for the night out. I need to look in my makeup bag for what I wore because it is stunning and so glowy.
Bellagio, I’ve Arrived
The last stop of the evening was the hotel we were parked at. I was a bit tired at this point but I pushed through. I really wanted to spend my last cash at the slots and if I won yay and if not I had fun in Vegas. It was hue and all the casinos were busy for a Tuesday night. It did not feel like a week night. I had to snap more pictures as I took more pictures than videos that evening but I knew it would be my last time here for a while so I took advantage and took as many as possible that’s why there are actually 80 for this post but I took more I think but a lot are duplicate. I hope I narrowed it down and happy with all the photos I choose.
Winning Big in Vegas
Okay maybe not big but I’m impressed with the amount I did win. I was expecting to win nothing but came out with something. I’m not sure if I was allowed to photograph it but I took a picture of the machine while it was still going and then the ticket that came out of how much I won. I blurred it for the blog but I have a a clear shot of it don’t worry. I didn’t mess it up on purpose. I did come out with having the souvenirs I paid for to be covered and a bit more so it’s like I got free keychains from Vegas from the money I spent before and then winning some at the slots. From being so overwhelmed from winning though I got thirsty and ran out of the water bottle I brought so I went up to the bar and asked kindly if they served water and they did. The bartender served it to me like a cocktail which made me super happy so I had to snap a pic and pretend it was something fancy when in reality it was just water in a plastic cup with a mini straw.
What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas
Okay it’s not what you think but I had to add that as the heading for these pictures. So before we headed for the parking garage my dad’s friend wanted to show me a section of the hotel he had been in all those years ago. Technically the area was closed but we snuck by and roamed around. We didn’t see anything but a few closed shops and I saw the suitcase I’ve been eyeing and I thought if I took a picture of it I would somehow manifest it and buy it for myself one day. Then saw this teddy bear and it was so cute not to photograph. I saw one other person in that section as it was not even roped off correctly or had any markings so who knows if it was closed off or not. Please don’t tell anyone and maybe what happens should of stayed. You never know I did it or not.
Hotel Mirror Selfie
As you can tell, I loved this outfit that’s why I have a million pictures of it. It was perfect and I felt so cute in it. I was traveling of course so I forgot my sticky nude bra for this bodysuit but I made it work. That’s the only thing I would change about this outfit. This skirt was so cute and it had a matching top but again the bra situation didn’t look good so I didn’t wear them together. I love the color of the skirt and headband matched perfectly with each other. I saw this mirror on the way out and had to snap a picture. We actually got lost and couldn’t find the truck this time around so I got to pass it a couple of times. I have one with all three of us together but they didn’t want me to post it so just me is it then.
Goodbye Las Vegas
There’s something about blurry night shot iPhone photos that really give that authentic feel of the evening. I use to hate photos that turned out bad like this and would not include them but for this they made sense and made it even better I feel like. So I took these last shots as we exciting the parkin lot and the Strip because I didn’t know when I was going to be back to Vegas again so I captured the moment. I hope to be back someday and experience it all over again.
Last Night in Nevada
For the last night in Nevada before driving back to California, I got all dressed up in the outfit I was supposed to wear for a night out in Vegas but it was too cold to wear the first night. I manage to wear it the last night as I thought we were going to a Chinese restaurant but again closed so I dressed up in a little black dress and heels for nothing but Panda Express and then a Blizzard by Dairy Queen for dessert while in the desert. I really wanted to say that. It was an okay evening and got to have some good food.
Road Trip OOTD
I have no idea why the road trips were so eventful. Going t Nevada everything was going wrong and then going back to California was just as bad. The motorhome had a flat tire so we had to be careful driving it to get fixed. I guess it worked out in the end because it meant I got to see this pink truck and it matched my road trip outfit. Again another photo shoot to end the Nevada road trip.
On The Road Again
Here is my dad and I on our way. This was when we were driving to the repair shop and then we drove the actual motor home back to Acton, California again. It was as exciting as I slept most of it but that wasn’t a good idea as we made a sharp u-turn and I fell off the couch on to floor when we turned. I literally rolled off and just started laughing like crazy. It really woke me up after that. I still listened to my road trip playlist and then we arrived at the other RV park we just left from a week prior. It was a great trip and a few bumps along the way but I enjoyed getting to see a new city and place with my dad this time.
Youtube Vlogs
That was my Las Vegas travel and photo diary! This took me so long to get done but it is so worth it in the end. It takes a lot of work but I love looking back at these posts so I don’t mind spending so much time on it. At least it didn’t take as long as the New York one but that was a huge trip and this wasn’t as long. Maybe one day I’ll get my travel diary posts up sooner to when I return from the trip instead of a couple months. I’m glad I still remember all the details but the pictures do help me not forget. I really loved putting this together and I hope you enjoyed reading about my Las Vegas travel and photo diary! xo
