Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing my realistic new year goals for 2021! A little late in the year but I had a few reasons this didn’t go up sooner. I successfully finished Vlogmas in December and it takes a lot out of you so taking time off from being on the computer and just the online world is essential for me.. Then my yearly cold where I seem to get sick every year when the year begins. Maybe because of how tired I am and it just hits me after being so exhausted or it’s just a timing thing. Last is I had to think about what I wanted the year to look like and plan a little. Last year was not my year and I was unsure it I wanted to do this post and a recap post of my year but I decided to keep up my goals post. After my year and the year a lot of us had then scheduling out my year didn’t go as planned and it made me realize that things don’t always go my way and it discouraged me so I thought I would just share my realistic goals I want to achieve and keep the long time goals from 2020 until I achieve them during this decade. So let me recap what I manage to achieve last year and share my realistic new year goals for 2021!
My Realistic New Year Goals for 2021
2020 Realistic Goals
Declutter my storage unit & cut it in half
Decorate my home & find furniture I love
Learn new recipes & try baking from scratch
Be more financially smart & pay back my credit card
Start journaling & write more
So when I was planning this blog post, I thought I did not achieve in 2020 because of how bad the year was but I actually did better than I give credit for. I unfortunately didn’t get to my first goal which was my main one but it wasn’t my fault and it was a global pandemic’s problem so I couldn’t travel 2 hours to another town and rent a truck to get there to move stuff around. Next was to decorate my home and I manage to and I love that but it’s due to being at home so much last year. I did try a lot of new food recipes which was so fun but didn’t get around to baking from scratch. I was smarter with my finances last year and saved up quite a bit which I was proud of but unfortunately the pandemic kind of spoiled that and made me use it and not pay back my credit cards but I did keep up with slowly paying them but not completely off. Last was journaling and writing more but I didn’t do it on paper but I discovered it digitally and did that quite a lot so I’m counting it. Not bad for a year where I felt like I didn’t do anything productive.
2020 Unrealistic Goals
Travel to London
Write a book
Own a designer bag
Hair accessory line
Get another degree
I’m still going to leave these here because I still want to achieve it some time during the decade and it will be amazing to cross them off.
My Intentions For The Decade
Stop wondering if I’m good enough in someone else’s eyes
Do more of what makes me happy
Say yes to opportunities that come my way even if they scare me
Let go of things I can’t control
Start doing instead of putting things off for the right time
These still apply to the decade so here is the guide and to be a reminder how I want to keep my mindset.
2021 Realistic Goals & Intentions
Declutter my storage unit & cut it in half
Take up a new hobby
Get out more often
Start reading regularly again
Save more money

Improve my time management

So keeping this on the top, hopefully I can cut my storage in half and organize it. I’m not sure if the pandemic will interrupt it again but hopefully I can start a little bit of it. Next I want to start a new hobby. What exactly? I’m not sure yet but I want to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. By get out more I mean go on a walk every other day or so around the neighborhood. I mean if the times allow it too. I can’t believe I have to take in so many outside forces with my goals this year. I don’t want to be stuck in a rut and I want to get rid of the weight I probably gained from just sitting at home watching TV and eating. I was pretty healthy going out and getting my exercise but obviously last year wrecked that. I discovered reading the first of last year and then stopped and then picked it up last month so basically I read the first of the year and end of the year but I want to be consistent in reading again so hope to do that again. I’m putting this one back again and want to save again and hopefully pay off the things I need to pay off. The next one is more content based and I want to use Instastories more and post more IG Reels/Tiktoks because I discovered it last year and had so much fun but this year be more consistent with it. Last one is being better with my time. The last several months of 2020 I got so bad with it and hope to improve and space my time out with everything I want to do and not stress about it with last minute things.
Those were my realistic new year goals for 2021! I hope 2021 is better and I am setting my aims to be not as high as previous years while still remaining optimistic so hope I achieve that. I want to manifest positivity but not exactly disappoint myself it is turns out to be a not so great year too. So let’s see what the year has in store. I can’t wait for another chapter in my life! Let me know if you have any goals yourself and are your similar to mine by chance? I have linked my goals from 2020, 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014 and 2013! So you can see how my goals have been for the past 8 years which is wild. A lot of goals I failed at and succeeded at. It’s good I’m so consistent with this certain blog post so glad I stuck to it. I hope you enjoyed reading about my realistic new year goals for 2021!
