A Photo Diary of My December
Happy Tuesday! Today I’m going to be sharing a photo diary of my December. I took quite a few pictures in December on my iPhone and I didn’t want them to go to waste so I decided to share a sort of round up and a photo diary of the pictures from my December. I took a lot of pictures because I needed them for thumbnail pictures for my Vlogmas videos on my Youtube channel and of course some made it to my Instagram and the others were proper pictures for here on the blog. I didn’t want the rest to go unnoticed and some are too pretty not to share so I came up with this idea to just show you my month of December though iPhone pictures. I did something similar back in 2017 here as I had the best month and this was sort of like that too. Also today is the last day of 2019 so what better to share what I did in throughout the month. I am going to be doing a 2019 highlights like I always do but that will be next week or so. Now here is a photo diary of my December and a little summary of what I did for the month.
My December pretty much looked like this. I was busy doing Vlogmas and that meant being on my computer most of the day to edit what I filmed the day before. Some days I got more dressed up like the left picture but all the other days I looked like the picture on the left with my hair in a messy bun, still in my pajamas and an unmade bed. Ahh the life of vlogging and uploading everyday. Honestly I kind of miss it but it was very stressful sometimes.
I did a lot of shopping in December. A lot for myself and of course for others too for gifts and all that. I also bought a lot of Christmas decor which I will show later and talk more about.
I did an Old Navy dressing room try on haul here and bought a lot of pajamas which I share down below too. I went out several times to shop for gifts and I was quite organized this year and got my Christmas shopping done the first of the month which was great and it made everything less stressful. I’m so proud of myself for not leaving it until last minute and finding everyone I needed to go shopping for and got a few things for myself. I also went out quite a lot because I needed content for my vlogs so it was a double purpose for me to be shopping like I did.
Here is the finish look at my living room decor. I absolutely love how it turned out and at first I thought I bought too many decor items but I ended up using them all and it didn’t look too cluttered like I thought it would. I was going to do an in depth decor post like my fall version here but I was working on my videos too much and I thought it would be nicer in video form to visually see everything. You can watch that here. I did share how I decorated my Christmas tree here. Something special I had was our train. My dad bought these when I was a kid and I managed to find them in our storage unit over the summer. I held on to them because I knew I would put them on display in December and it came true. They are here and I love looking at them. I finally have a piece of decor from my childhood on display as everything is new and it’s nice having something from the past to make it sentimental. I love it so much and I made a video all about it here.
My first most worn item of clothing in December was Christmas pajamas! I did a haul of all the Christmas pjs I bought as I said and I lived in them. I have so many that I could wear some during the day as loungewear and then change to different ones at night. I love festive pjs and don’t think my collection is going to stop. I’m aiming to have ones for every holiday! I am so sad to be putting them away until next year but I do have some that are just Christmas colored and not themed so I might keep those out or just store some away and keep a few of my favorite pairs out because it still will be cold as it is winter. Honestly I think Christmas pajamas were my favorite thing of the month.
This was one of two unbelievable days I had. I love shooting my outfit photos and making a fun day out of it. I don’t treat it like work and will get all dressed up and take my photos then I would go out and then have dinner with my parents. It was so fun and I got some great pictures out of it. You can really see the happiness as I twirled and danced around in the fake snow in front of this train. It’s my ideal scene and I would love to have real snow but I live in LA and this is all I get but I was still so happy. I went to the Christmas Market and got to walk around in this pretty outfit and took a lot of pictures and saw some fun and festive things. Honestly I love this day and would love to live it over and over again. You can watch that here. Also the blog pictures from that day here.
This tulle skirt as you can see was my second most worn item of clothing. I was doing a lookbook and how to style with it but ran out of time so you just get me in this white tulle skirt in a lot of my Christmas dressy outfits I wore. This day was so special and fun because I got to go see the lighting of the Christmas tree at The Grove. I wore this cute pink sweater which I did a blog post about here but didn’t share these pictures with you. I got so many complements with this outfit and people kept coming up to me to tell me they loved my skirt or the whole outfit which was so nice. I had an incredible day and glad I documented so you can watch that here.
I spent some of my evenings wrapping gifts and I found it so cozy. I started a Christmas tradition in 2017 where I watch a Christmas movie and wrap my gifts for everyone. Now I look forward to doing it every year and will be in my festive pjs and my go to movie that started it all was The Christmas Prince and it has three movies now which is great so I watch that while I wrap and I just love it.
I started baking and it has been so fun and yummy. I baked some chocolate chip cookies and then on Christmas Eve I made some brownies which were amazing and just by looking at the picture makes me want more! I made it a goal of mine in December to do some Christmas baking and I can cross it off the list. I guess I can add the updated version here of what I manged to get crossed off my December to do list which you can read here.
Here is the final December to do list:
Add the snowflakes on to my blog
Shop for more Christmas decor
Decorate for Christmas โ living room & bedroom
Bake Christmas cookies
Go on the Christmas train
Take pictures at all the holiday display in my city
Post all my holiday content I have planned AKA Blogmas
Do some sort of Vlogmas on my Youtube channel
Share holiday & winter outfits
Enjoy the holidays with my parents
I guess I manged everything but one but I sort of did go see a Christmas train but I didn’t exactly ride it so I’m unsure if I should cross it off or not. Either way I managed to to do almost all that I wanted to do in December which makes me happy. I could have did a few more blog posts for Blogmas but I did complete Vlogmas so I did complete one.
My landlord got us a new fridge for Christmas which was nice. It was pretty cool so it had to be included. You can watch my reaction of me seeing how big the fridge is in my vlog here.
As you saw above, I said I wanted to enjoy the holidays with my parents. I did and it was so nice having them with me for Christmas. My mom isn’t in these set of pictures as she doesn’t have social media and doesn’t want me to post all kinds of pictures of her so I respect that. She is in a couple of my videos so you can see her on there. I do have a few pictures with her around here or there. We do have some family photos together andย have to get them printed for the living room. My dad however will post and take all kinds of pictures with and without me so he doesn’t care that I post these. He is always up for posing in a picture and sometimes wants more pictures taken of him to post on his Instagram then me. I think he is more of the influencer in the family not me.
Christmas was the best and one of the best Christmas I’ve had in a while. there’s something about living in the US around Christmas that is more magical for me. In the Philippines I don’t seem to have the Christmas like I remembered as a kid but this years felt like old times and even more special. I got to take a picture with Santa. I went to Rodeo Drive and take pictures of their Christmas display and see their holiday show which was another fun day I had and then I got to go take pictures at a fancy hotel by their grand Christmas tree in the lobby. Lastly, I have an obsession with teddy bears so getting to take pictures with them so this was so fun. When I got home after going out with my parents we opened gifts which I share what I got here and video version here and you can watch my whole Christmas Day here. I had the best Christmas and it is definitely one to be remembered and I am so glad I have it documented to look back on.
The last thing I did in December was go on a road trip to San Diego with my mom’s best friend. She picked us up and we drove down and caught up. I love road trips and find them entertaining for some reason. Also it lets me zone out and not be on my phone as I hate being on my phone in the car. Since i was online for the most of the month I spent the entire day offline almost and just vlogged and not looked at my phone. I mean I needed a bit for GPS but other than that I was offline and just talked with my parents and my mom’s best friend the whole time. It was such a fun trip and we got to see my cousin I hadn’t seen in years. We talked with them and got to take pictures. Then I went out to a Filipino area and we went out to dinner after that we went to a grocery store full of my fave Philippine snacks and got a few things. Watch that vlog here. Also it was so cold and a proper winter day and I loved my outfit which I will be styling more winter looks on the blog soon. It was a proper fun day and best way to end my December as I haven’t done anything but relax and do a few blog posts.
Since the month started I haven’t stopped so after the trip I have been taking it easy. I just can’t seem to not work so I’ve been doing a few blog posts and scheduling them. I’ve also been planning all the new things for the New Year. I have so much planned and so excited for a fresh start. So that has been my December in pictures.
That was a photo diary of my December! I really wanted to share this and what has happened to me this month. I felt bad I wasn’t as active on here because I was so focused on editing and uploading a video everyday. It is a process and it takes some getting used to to manage both. I think once I get back to my once a week or maybe twice a week uploads then I can have more time for my 3 times a week schedule here. I have to get better at managing my time for all my social media outlets and hopefully in the new year I can. I really did enjoy my month and love that I have all these memories I can just go back to. I’d love to know what your favorite moment of December was and what you did over the holidays. SO that has been a photo diary of my December and a summary of what I did. I hope you enjoyed and thanks for reading! xo
