A Look At My First Christmas Tree Living in LA
Happy Monday! I’m excited to share a look at my first Christmas tree living in LA! As you know I moved to LA in June and now I’m spending my first Christmas in my first ever apartment. Of course I had to decorate it for the holidays as it is my first place I have lived in by myself. I’ve been wanting to decorate it for months and already had everything planned out. So on December 1st I decorated and now I’m excited to share a look at my first Christmas tree living in LA!

So growing up, my parents and I would decorate our tree after Thanksgiving and buy some decorations on Black Friday. Well this year I had no previous decorations so I went out on Black Friday and bought my tree. I got it at Target and it was on sale for only $30. I picked a pre-lit one this year as I always have problems with lights and putting them on and since I’m by myself this year with no help then it was smart for me to already have one pre-lit. I wanted a taller one but I ended up with a 6ft again and this is better then the one I had in Manila. It’s perfect for my first tree and very easy to assemble that I got it up in an afternoon. So here’s a look at my first Christmas tree living in LA and now I can show you the theme.
I went with a red and gold theme. I love the sparkliness and so I went with a lot of glitter. The ornaments I went with are all from Target again and I went with the standard bauble ornaments and a few specialty ones to show meaning in my tree. I never had a perfect tree growing up where it looks like it’s on display so I didn’t want that but I still wanted it to look good. I tried to get the red and gold ornaments as even as possible. Then I got a giant silver swarovski crystal “J”, a sparkly crown to signify my blog and thought it was cute and then a santa 2018 to signify my move here. Then I put a gold sparkly star tree topper to finish it off.
This shot was the first I took and it was an accident but I loved it. I always love the bokeh effect and it looks so pretty.
So this was a look at my first Christmas tree living in LA! I am so happy with it and love how my apartment is looking. You saw my bedroom yesterday here and the bedding is so festive and I love them so much. My bedside table is here too as I wanted a very Christmas wonderland. I hope you enjoyed a look at my first Christmas tree living in LA and all my decor. Also let me know what your place looks like and what your tree theme is this year.
Your tree is almost identical to mine! Red & gold is the best combination! I also hope your first Christmas in LA is the best!
Wow! You have everything planned out. Great job. Have a nice holiday.
