How I Organize My Clothes and Wardrobe Tour
Happy Friday! Today’s post is going to be how I organize my clothes and wardrobe tour! I featured a little of my bedroom here where I shared my dream bed but now I’m going to show you how I keep my clothes in a small LA apartment. You might recognize some from my home wish list here. I actually filmed the whole process on my Youtube channel so if you want to see me build everything, organize it and show you around then that will be up tonight. For now here on the blog I thought I would show you a few pictures of the completed process and how I organize my clothes and wardrobe tour!
Now I kind of have a studio style room. I live in a house but they transformed the living room into my room if that makes sense. There are bedrooms but they are being rented already. So I have two roommates who have the two rooms and then there is a small office room and the living room. I got the office and living room and then we share the dining room (which we hardly use) and the kitchen. The landlord converted the living room and now I have the biggest room in the house which is pretty cool. So on one side is my “bedroom” where I have my bed. On the other side is the “living room” where I have a couch,coffee table and the fire place and mantel. It looks like a proper living room on that side. Now on the far left I made sure to leave open to put my “closet” and have this set up you see in the pictures. It’s confusing but I hope I explained it enough for you to kind of get the layout. I’m okay with my space so far and I don’t mind as the rent is pretty cheap since I do live in West Hollywood so I don’t mind that my place is half a bedroom and half a living room. It’s nice and safe and I live with a friend from back home so all in all I am making the space my own even though it’s kind of weird.

First I can talk you through the clothing rack. Now it was such a hassle to assemble even though the box it came in promised easy assembly. Let me tell you it wasn’t for me but maybe it’s because I’m not really good at it and usually have my dad do all those things. It took my more than 6 hours to assemble my Ikea bed but this took me an hour and half once I got it correct. I had to Facetime my dad and show him the instructions and we finally figured it out together. The screw wouldn’t screw in and that was my huge problem. Other than that I got it and have it up. Watch the video for funny bloopers of me trying to put it together. The hangers of course match my whole room and my aesthetic. They are hot pink velvet hangers and look so good hanging together. I wanted gold ones but I didn’t like the hot pink as it was more purple so I went with my true hot pink color and had to put up with the silver hook. I tried to color coordinate everything and have the dresses in seasonal category to be organized. The rack you see are my current clothes that I just bought and I’m currently styling. The rack in the back (that rhymed) has summer dresses and ones I don’t need to reach for so often. So that is the first part of how I organize my clothes and wardrobe tour.
As for the storage bins they hold my pajamas, camis, underwear bras, and socks. I have them there so it’s easier to get to instead of opening up drawers all the time. Then in the plastic drawers I organized all my clothes by category and from top to bottom by importance and what I reach for the most is at the top and down the bottom is ones I don’t really need all too often. I rolled my clothes as the came out of my suitcase as I’ve been living out of that for 3 months ow so I’m so happy to have my clothes all out and organized. I think I’ll have to live with it to see how I like it and maybe I’ll changed it up in the future. For now I love it and though I don’t have a proper closet or anywhere to put clothes I improvised and loved the system I created. I mean I don’t know how long I will be living in this house so right now that is my solution.

I love how I get to see all my clothes and know exactly where everything is at with out fussing. I think this will prevent me from making a mess or hopefully it will prevent clothes all over my room.
