Being Basic In My Favorite Fall Outfit
Happy Wednesday! Today’s outfit is me being basic in my favorite fall outfit and I think this will be my uniform for the upcoming season. I always see girls wearing a variation of this outfit but it was always too hot where I lived before to wear something like this. Now I can actually wear it and feel comfortable and not be too hot. I got inspiration from this outfit on Pinterest and I think it shows so I thought I’ll show you how I’m being basic in my favorite fall outfit!

This has to be one of my most basic outfits I’ve worn. As I said I’ve seen a variation of this outfit on Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram and pretty much a lot on social media. I imagined if I lived in a cooler climate I would love to recreate this outfit. Guess what? I moved to LA which I know it isn’t cold and I probably look ridiculous or to even complain it’s cold but it has cooled down and for a girl who is used to extreme heat and humidity this cooler wind and temperature is cold for me and I’m embracing it and wearing all the comfy and warm clothes.
I fell like every basic LA girl with their cropped sweater, black ripped in the knee skinny jeans and white sneakers. I’m pretty much the basic millennial bitch minus a Starbucks in hand or this would be epitome of what I’ve seen online. I’m in no way making fun of that style because I’m over here recreating it and to be honest it isn’t a half bad outfit and I could totally see myself wearing this and other variations all fall long. It’s very cute as it’s still in my girly feminine style with the color and my bow but there is also an edginess and casual aspect to it and I think it combines my loves and I got to create my look with my aesthetics on a pretty common outfit.
Now as you can see this is a very cropped sweater and I felt like wearing it. I’ve worn it before when I few to LA which you can see here but I wore it with a long cami underneath to layer. I didn’t feel confident enough plus the airplane is cold and I wasn’t going to just wear this. When I wore this though I was heading to the movies and though it’s cool outside and inside the theater I could still handle it because let’s be honest it’s not that cold outside yet but enough that you can wear a sweater like this. I did bring a hoodie with me inside my tote bag to cover up and layer if I really need it. I said that my style will change in this blog post here and I can already see it as I’m getting more confident and trying new items of clothing. I even talked about living my best life in my last blog post here. I’m kind of glad I didn’t wear a cami underneath as I did feel quite confident and no I wasn’t cold if you wanted to know. It was almost sunset and the sky was just so pretty and I’m glad it has that golden tone in the pictures to see how pretty the sunset was on Sunset Blvd.
That’s me being basic in my favorite fall outfit and you will be seeing me in this all season in many variations I’m sure. It’s such a cute outfit. I wore this to watch Crazy Rich Asians with my roommate and we went to a theater that was for people over 21 and it was my first time having to show my ID that I was 21 and I was so excited because I didn’t get to do that before and I’m now legal to do so. I think it was a movie theater that serves alcohol so you had to be 21 to watch there. We ate dinner before going, took these outfit pictures and then watched the screening at 8pm which was fun and a pretty good movie and I kind of had to watch it being half Asian myself. I had such a fun night and of course I vlogged it so you can watch it on my channel here to see what I was up to, what I ate and taking these photos. I hope you enjoyed this outfit and me being very basic but it was all in fun and I loved being basic in my favorite fall outfit. Let me know if you tried a variation of an outfit like this yourself and if you’ve seen it online a million times.
Getting back to the basics is always a go-to of mine! Great transitional outfit!
