Theย Perfectย Transitionalย Casualย Floralย Dress
Happy Monday! Today I’m doing another transitional styling post. I have been loving the process of adapting my wardrobe for next season which I think you can tell since I posted a day to night look for summer to fall last week which you can read here in case you missed it. This one is based around a dress and it isn’t a day to night look but more of a transitional season dress. To be honest I think this dress can be worn year round and adapted to any season with the right accessories. For now I am showing how I wore it as a summer to fall transitional outfit. So I thought I would show you the perfect transitional casual floral dress!

I just got this dress at Target from Wild Fable for only $12. You can find the exact one here. It was such a bargain and comes in many sizes. For reference I’m wearing the XXL which is quite big on me but with my height it is so short on me. It works but it’s a little on the short size for my taste. I could have sized down and it would fit perfect but it would be even shorter on me so the size I got is a bit big but I can deal with. It looks great on and I love these kinds of style of dresses as they flatter my figure the most. Looking at the pictures however I like how it looks on me and it doesn’t look big at all and it isn’t too big it fits but I do like when things embrace my curves. This dress is so comfy and the material is so nice. It’s so simple and can be a great everyday dress and when you need something to throw on and unsure of an outfit this is the kind of dress I look for.
The accessories I went with my matching tan bag and sandals. I like how it contrasts with the grey dress and brings summer and fall together that’s why I styled them together. It is still very sunny so I’ve been loving my pink mirror cat eye sunglasses you have seen in a lot of my recent outfits. They go with everything and are so chic. Since there are little pink flowers in the floral prints I thought I would wear my blush pink flower earrings I got on sale at H&M last year. I love adding flowers to my floral print outfits. The necklace is just my brown marble heart pendent that’s just my everyday necklace you’ve seen a hundred times and since this dress has a v-neckline it needed a necklace to fill the space and I didn’t bring too many necklaces with me when I moved so this has just been one I’ve been wearing.

The print can easily be transformed from season to season as I said. It’s a floral print and you know I love a good floral print as it’s so girly and feminine. In the spring it can be worn with a blush pink cardigan to bring out the pink floral in it and some cute ballet flats. For summer you can just where it alone with a basket bag and some espadrille wedges that tie up your leg. I wore it as a transition outfit from summer to fall. Since I’m in LA it’s still a bit hot but I wanted to embrace the fall colors so it’s a combination of my version of summer and fall together. If I was to actually wear this in fall I would add a moto jacket and some heeled ankle booties to really give it that autumn vibe. Lastly I think you can still get away with wearing this for winter. Now just add a chunky knit sweater or cardigan and maybe some thigh high boots with a beanie to complete to cozy winter aesthetic. See so many different outfits with just this one dress. I’m actually going to see if I could really style this all the ways I said and make a whole blog post out of it. Let me know if you would like to see that!
I’ve been playing with makeup again after last Friday’s post here. I saw the pictures and missed doing my makeup all glam and pretty like that so going out last weekend gave me an excuse to sit down and do my makeup again. I mean it wasn’t so over the top but it was more makeup then what I’ve been wearing and I felt so pretty in it. My foundation and concealer is still not right and I still need to solve it but it might be my concealer is too drying on my already dry skin so I might need to buy a new concealer come payday. It isn’t as bad or maybe it’s because of my sunglasses rubbing against my concealer and foundation. I don’t know but looking at the pictures it isn’t as bad as I think it was so I don’t know. I do love my highlighter and the sun was hitting it just right. I’ve recently gotten into the blinding glow everyone loves and it makes sense to me now why it’s fun. My brows are looking better but I think I need to get them done again soon but overall I’m pretty proud at how my makeup has been turning out. I used to never wear any makeup whatsoever in outfits but now a lot of my outfit shots have me wearing it. I’m so opposite to other bloggers who probably wear makeup all the time with their outfit shoots and I’ve just started. It’s another step to me getting ready instead of just going out and shooting.ย I did have makeup on sometimes but others I didn’t and it just depended with it so hot back in Manila there was no reason except here the weather isn’t too bad and it doesn’t melt off my face right away. Okay enough makeup talk as this is a fashion post not a makeup one.
Last but least is one of my favorite pieces to this outfit beside the dress is of course the bow. It’s very obvious and I’ve been waiting so long to wear it and finally here it is in all it’s glory. It is so pretty and just what I imagined. When I saw this bow pop up on all my favorite fashion bloggers I knew I had to get my hands on it and I did. I’m the queen of bows with my outfits so getting this was a no brainer. It went with the outfit perfectly and went with the earrings and sunglasses so well and brought out the blush pink in the dress. I wish my curls didn’t fall out but my hair was not having it that day as it was freshly washed and again like my skin my hair is getting used to the water and climate here in LA. It’s not as curly and my curls don’t stay in as long so another problem I have to work out.
That was how I styled the perfect transitional casual floral dress from summer to fall. I had such a fun day when I did these photos and kind of want to do another iPhone diary as I did the same thing like I did with The Grove which I posted last week here. I won’t post them too close together so I might save that for next week. However this day will be in the weekly vlog going up on my Youtube channel tomorrow if you want to see my fun filled day and a bit of behind the scenes of how I shoot my outfits here in LA. I’ve been posting consistently both on here and my channel so I’m hoping you’ve been liking all the content I’ve been putting out. Now that’s it I hope you enjoyed reading about the perfect transitional casual floral dress. Let me know if you have a dress you wear into different seasons and how you style them up!
