Theย Groveย Photoย Diaryย ย Throughย Myย iPhone
Happy Wednesday! Today I thought I would share a photo diary of my day at The Grove last week. It’s sort of like a photo version of my weekly vlog I posted yesterday here. I was just snapping away and realized I could show you what my day looked like through pictures I took on my iPhone. It’s like a still version of the visuals I saw while I was there. I took videos and pictures and wanted to be creative and put this together. I take you with me and shareย The Grove photo diary through my iPhone.
I’ve never been to The Grove until recently. I actually never heard of been to it when I used to live here. I only found out about it when I saw it on vlogs when Youtubers went to it. So when I discovered that I live close to it and it being the closet “mall” near me, I had to check it out. The first time I went I saw pretty new in LA and just went there on a whim to stroll. I was by myself so I didn’t take any pictures or really explore. I just walked the whole perimeter and went home. However this time I really explored and went to each and every store to look around.

Actually I only went since my roommate invited me out. She wanted to go shopping and offered if I wanted to come so I got dressed up and went with her. She has been the one who is taking my pictures in LA as I haven’t found a photographer out here yet. So whenever she has a day off we go out and take pictures and explore LA as she is also from the Philippines. She’s been here longer so she knows most places so I just follow and we recommend places we want to go. It’s been really fun and we get to take pictures and spend the day together. The picture ideas are sometimes her idea and sometimes mine. These ones were mine and I feel like they kind of look like the Disneyland main street photos minus the castle. It has a similar vibe and I just noticed it.
I did just blog about this bag and what’s inside if you were curious. It was another post I shot while I was visiting The Grove which you can read here in case you missed it.

After a bit of looking around and shopping of course we need to refuel. She suggested the Cheesecake Factory and again I’ve never been or ate here but I did hear about it again from watching vlogs. So I gladly agreed. We of course had to get cheesecake and split it. It was amazing and so good. Our waiter recommended it as we were lost and couldn’t choose which one to try. I think this is the raspberry chocolate cheesecake I don’t really remember the exact name but I think that’s what it was named. We did get lunch but I forgot to get a picture of it. I know what kind of photo diary forgets to snap a picture of the food but I did film it and I was more focused on the beautiful cheesecake and we were hungry and wanted to eat. We split a margarita pizza and a salad but in between we snuck bites of the dessert.

After that we continued on our shopping adventure. It was fun and I got to explore the Nike store and Nordstrom which I have never been to Nordstrom so I spent quite a long time looking at all the makeup and frangrances which they all smelt lovely and have one on my wish list to save up for. Then it was on to the designer bags and I was in awe the whole time looking at all the brands I only saw online. I got to see them in person and could really feel what they are actually like. It will make it a little easier to choose now that I could really see them. Of course I looked at the clothes and shoes as well. Next we just explored the other stores. I popped into Sephora and got another few samples of skincare. Then moved on to Topshop and Zara which is the first time I went into both of those here in LA. I loved the clothes at Topshop so I might have to go back and purchase a few outfits from there.
With all that walking around and shopping, we went to the farmers market and sat down for a bit. It was so cool and in a weird way it reminded me of the Philippine markets that I was used to. I was going to get an ice cream cone but I was about to take pictures for the blog and knowing me I would drop it all over me and I was in a white skirt. So I didn’t but I did get to look around at the food and souvenirs they had there.
Now that was my day of The Grove photo diary through my iPhone. I absolutely loved writing this and maybe I should turn it into a series on days out I have here in LA. If you want to see a more in depth version then check out my recent LA weekly vlog on my Youtube Channel here where I share even more and what I was up. I will be sharing my outfit and the details in a separate post next week so stay tuned for the outfit snaps I took of this day as well. So I hope you enjoyed this and let me know if I should do more of this sort of thing. And that was The Grove photo diary through my iPhone!
