Matching My Outfit With The Beverly Hills Hotel
Happy Monday! I’m so happy to share with you my first official outfit I shot in LA or technically these were shot in Beverly Hills. From this point on all my pictures are going to be taken in the USA! As my first post as an official LA blogger, I ventured to Beverly Hills to visit the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel and as you can see it is stunning. Of course I planned what I was going to wear and I ended up matching my outfit with the Beverly Hills Hotel. So here are all the outfit details and what I got up to the day I shot these!
I can see this being my go to summer outfit. It is so perfect and so light. With this LA heat it is definitely reminding me of Manila so I wore stuff like this all the time. I’m actually loving this green and at first I was hesitant as I didn’t own anything this color but that is what convinced me as I didn’t have this color in my wardrobe yet. Now I think I need to add more of this shade of green into my color palette. I love the detail of the tie in the middle so it lets me show a little bit of skin but not too much where I am not comfortable with. You can see a peak and I like that as a little teaser.
Top – This top is from Target (found here) but what you don’t know is that it’s actually a pajama set and I made it wearable out in public. Yes I do have the pink and green palm print shorts underneath. If I was to stay at this hotel then I can just remove the skirt, add some slippers and I can be all comfy in my pjs for a hotel stay. It’s a two in one outfit. It’s also what I’m wearing when I show you my dream bed in my last post here. I love that you can take it from day to slumber.
Skirt – The skirt is old and you’ve seen it so many times. Whenever I don’t know what to pair with something I grab this basic white skirt to wear. This skirt will always be my go to for that and it just makes the outfit complete.
Bag – I paired this with my Chloe Nile dupe and I loved the tan color with the green.
Sandals – Since the tan color worked so well with the outfit I had to go for the matching sandals.
As for planning this and matching my outfit with The Beverly Hills Hotel, well it wasn’t a coincidence. I planned it specifically. It started after I bought the pajama set. I had it on my shelf beside me waiting to be worn. One morning I was in bed researching places to shoot around LA. Of course I saw all the popular ones and put them on my list and then I saw all the pretty pictures of a lot of my fave fashion bloggers taking pictures here. I almost drop my iPhone on my face but that made me look to my left where the pajama set was at. I looked at it and then the pictures and it popped into my head. It matched perfectly with the hotel and had the same color palette. So the idea was born and I was making it a mission to shoot the outfit I had planned at The Beverly Hills Hotel. It matched perfectly and I love how the idea came together.
The accessories I wore with the outfit kind of matched as well. Of course you know me that everything has to match. These sunglasses went perfectly and who would have thought I would wear these green mirror sunglasses again. I wore them once in this blog post here and that is it. As I said I don’t own much green so I never had a reason to wear them. I found them last minute in a random bag that I was going to pack and take to LA with me and so I decided in that moment to take the sunglasses with me in case. I don’t own too many pairs so I justified packing them in my accessory pouch. It turns out they came in handy and made it a nice touch to the already green outfit.
The jewelry I am wearing is my Pandora bracelet and a vintage jade green heart pendent my aunt gave me as a kid. I have another darker green heart pendent I could have put on but I liked the lighter green with the outfit better. Last are the earrings that are blush pink and look like palm leaves so I still have that blush pink tone to tie in and the shape looked like the palm trees so again I love how they matched. My bow is a darker green to my top but I finally have a reason to wear my green bow outside of Christmas.
That was me matching my outfit with The Beverly Hills Hotel! I really enjoyed going and seeing it n person. To be honest, if I hadn’t seen other bloggers take pictures here then I would have never heard of it and wanted to visit it. I’m glad I discovered it through them or else I would have never thought of this outfit. As for the hotel, it was so pretty and seeing it in person after seeing it in person was so surreal. It was right in front of me and I still can’t get over that feeling now that I’m in LA. I love the colors and that old vintage Hollywood glamour vibe it gives. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go in and have something at the cafe which I hear the decor is just as pretty and Instagramable. Maybe next time I will and match another outfit to go with that aesthetic.
I have so many other popular locations on my list and have visited quite a few so you will be seeing those in upcoming blog posts. The day I shoot this I took two other outfits with me and took more pictures elsewhere so you’ll have to see those as well. I have so much LA content and so many ideas. It’s so fun and I look forward to sharing it all with you. Now I’m off to planning more outfits with locations. I’ve done this before where I match my outfit to the place or sometimes it is accidental and works out so well. Let me know if you’re a blogger yourself and match your outfit with a location you see. I’d love to know I’m not alone with matching things together. So I hope you enjoyed me matching my outfit with The Beverly Hills Hotel.
