Flying to La La Land What I Wore to the Airport
Happy Friday! It’s a bit over due but today I wanted to share what I wore to the airport to fly to La La Land as I have been calling it as it has been a dream. I made it to Los Angeles but there were a few hiccups along the way. Good thing I had a cute but comfy outfit to make the journey a little more bearable As promised in my last post here, I said I would blog about the outfit I wore to the airport so here are the details!
| hoodie // sweater // cami // leggings // sneakers // bow // tote bag // suitcase |
I had this outfit planned way before I was even done planning my trip. I knew I wanted a sweater, a hoodie and of course leggings. I’m most comfortable in leggings so it was a given that I would wear them for a 13 hour flight. My last airport outfit which you can find here if you missed it, I wore a very similar outfit but this was more for keeping me warm as I get cold on planes. Last time it was summer and I was spending an hour on the plane so I dressed a little different. I actually shot these pictures very close to last time as I was flying the same terminal. This was evening so the lighting was a bit different then last time but they have very similar spots but you just can’t tell.

Outfit Details
Sweater – The sweater is from H&M and I bought it a week before my flight. I was going to wear a similar one but I found this instead. It’s cropped so I wore it with a cami underneath. I love the lace detail and it was so soft.
Hoodie – This hoodie I have worn two times since I bought it at the beginning of summer in Manila. You can see me feature it in this outfit here and here.
Leggings – They’re from H&M and they’re high-waisted so they were nice and comfy.
Sneakers: I wore these in my last airport outfit as well. I have two pairs of sneakers and I packed my blush pink ones because I thought a full blush pink outfit was too overboard so I went with white and plus they are easier to slid on and off for security.
Bow – Of course I had a matching bow.
Tote Bag – Lastly I had this tote bag as one of my carry-ons that held my laptop, my other gadgets and travel wallet so it was easy to access and get in and out of when I needed it.

I got so many compliments on my outfit matching my suitcase and a lot of the guards and personnel at the airport ask if I love the color pink. With this look I don’t think it was obvious that I love the color pink. It made everything easier to spot and I thought it would be fun to wear blush pink to contrast with my hot pink luggage sets. Honestly, I was planning on wearing hot pink as well but that was too much so I went with a very dusty blush pink. You can tell it is pink but it has a hint of a lavender undertone so it wasn’t full on pink. I loved my outfit and I felt good in it so that is the point of an airport outfit.
That was my flying to La La Land what I wore to the airport! I hope you liked this very simple and comfy outfit and got some inspiration for your next flight. I know this will be my go to if I go back for a long flight again. Stay tuned for a separate story about my flight and what happened as it is quite a long story and wanted to share it as well but I made this one focus on my outfit details alone. Also if you are curious to see inside those suitcases of mine then I have a what I packed for a long haul flight post coming up as well. I am quite happy with how I did so I had to share and give some tips on making everything fit and under the weight limit. I’ll let you know when that’s up! Let me know what your go to airport outfit is and a key piece you always wear!
I love wearing leggings, but have never actually worn them on a flight! Great suggestion, and much more practical than jeans or a cute dress. Love the details on that top, too!
Thanks and I have always wore leggings and they are great travel wear. If it was a shorter flight I’d wear jeans or a dress though.
