Yellow Is The Happiest Of Colors
Happy Wednesday! I’m in a sunny mood today but that might be because of the outfit I’m wearing in today’s mellow yellow in the sunshine what I wore post. While shooting my pink wall princess outfit which you can find here if you missed it, right next to the pink wall is this yellow wall. Actually this whole building has gorgeous wall colors that are the perfect backdrop for outfits and bloggers like me who love colorful backgrounds. I had a yellow outfit in mind and when I saw that wall it inspired it even more. So here is my mellow yellow in the sunshine what I wore!
Yellow has always reminded me and been associated with happiness. I recently wore a bright yellow bridesmaid dress for my cousin’s wedding and though the yellow she choose didn’t match me I still liked the thought of yellow as it makes me think of the sun and warm summer days. Instead of a bright yellow which doesn’t go with my skin tone as I have a yellow/golden undertone anyway a light pale yellow like this top is exactly what could work and I could style. I then paired it with this vintage denim pencil skirt which I have owned since I was a pre-teen. I remember when it was so long up to my ankles and the waist was so big that I had to wear a belt and now it is the perfect size. It is high-waisted which I like and it has pockets which is always a plus for me. I like that it goes so well with the top and makes the outfit that much more vintage looking. I went with my designer dupe bag and love it so much and if you want to look into real designer bags there is a luxury consignment shop called the RealReal to look into.
So when I wear yellow I feel like I shine just a little bit brighter especially on this day! When I was shooting two outfits that day it was gloomy and perfect lighting for the shoot but as soon as I wear this yellow outfit the sun decides to appear and make the yellow outfit even more yellow with the golden glow of the sun. I was honestly going to reshoot these as I felt like they were too much but you know what it adds to the effect. Yellow is my favorite happy color to wear and it made the outfit so much more vibrant and with this yellow wall being right in front of the setting sun it worked out I hope and made everything so sunny! That is why I got inspired and named the title to this post, mellow yellow in the sunshine what I wore.
- Sunglasses – Of course a sunny look has to have sunglasses. I have been using these tortoise shades as my everyday pair.
- Earrings & Necklace – I originally bought these earrings for a wedding to match my dress and I thought would never wear it again but I had this yellow outfit and then it worked out. Again, my everyday heart stone pendent necklace.
- Bag & Sandals – I love matching so I paired my tan Chloe Nile dupe bag with my new tan sandals I bought for the summer. I don’t own tan sandals and knew they would be a staple for me this season. I didn’t think I would get use out of my tan bag in the summer only in autumn but turns out it works and looks amazing with matching sandals and warm toned outfits.
- Bow – Last I did have a matching bow so I matched the earrings with a yellow bow to pin my hair half up and out of my face on this hot summer day.
That is my mellow Yellow in the sunshine what I wore outfit post! I am starting to love yellow and it makes me feel so bright and happy while wearing it. I hope you got an idea how to wear yellow this summer as I have seen a lot of it in stores and is very on trend right now. I personally didn’t think about it much at first and was against the dark stark yellow but pale yellow and subtle yellow accessories don’t scare me as much. Maybe you should jump out of your comfort zone and try a color you never thought you would wear like this. I hope you enjoyed this what I wore post and stay mellow while wearing yellow in the sunshine!
