6 Summer Outfits To Wear To And From The Pool
Happy Monday! Today I’m sharing 6 summer outfits to wear to and from the pool. This edition is for all my curvy girls out there who don’t know what to wear to the pool or beach this summer. I always struggle for inspiration of what to wear so I created different outfit flatlays perfect to recreate. Honestly I used this as a packing guide on what exactly I brought with me for my birthday staycation. Last Friday I showed you what I packed for it which you can find here but now I’m showing you the different outfits that were inside all laid out including the jewelry accessories and shoes all styled together to create a visual of how everything will look together. So here are 6 summer outfits to wear to and from the pool!
The first outfit is what I’m wearing in the first picture minus the swimsuit. This white top from H&M was a bit short for my liking so I made it work by adding a swimsuit underneath and it made the outfit look 10x times cooler if I do say so myself. It also works if you need to pop out after you were swimming to look a bit put together. I love that this outfit is rose inspired and has both roses on the top and shorts. For accessories I went with tan and gold tones so the jewelry is both gold to match the tan bag and sandals. Then I added a red bow for a pop of color and it matched the swimsuit and rose decal on the top.
Actually this was my 25th birthday outfit in flatlay form. Don’t worry you will be seeing this outfit on me real soon as I have pictures of wearing this exact look on my birthday night when I went to dinner. This two piece set from Forever 21 is gorgeous and it was love at first site when I saw it. I love this whole two piece set trend because I can wear the top (you can find here) and the bottom which (you can find here) together or style them separately to create a whole new outfit. I usually am for bright colors especially in the summer but it still is girly and has florals in there. I feel like it’s more sophisticated but fun and that is how I can describe what I want my style to incorporate in my 25th year. However I still do love my brights and colors especially in my next few outfit choices I styled down below.
The 3rd outfit of the 6 summer outfits to wear to and from the pool or in this case I picture this for more of a beach look. I think this will be my ideal beach outfit. I can just pop it over a swimsuit and it creates a great outfit. I love the pastel stripes and it looks so good for spring and the tassels make it fun to transition to summer. I love when a dress can work for multiple seasons. For accessories, I went with a blush pink straw tote bag to use as a beach bag and blush pink sandals so all of it can match with the stripes in the dress. Then my sun hat that I bought last year and they were so in when I bought it but I’m not sure if they are still so let me know if it. I still love it and it protects me and looks cute. The jewelry which I only paired for the photo is simple just my Pandora bracelet and blush pink stoned statement earrings. I wouldn’t wear it for the pool and swimming but for photo purposes it matches and will complete the outfit. Last I went with nude sunglasses to keep the light tone vibe.
Next is the swimsuit series where I style a few of my swimsuits into outfits. I love doing that and I have a specific color palette with my swimsuits over the last 3 years as you can tell. This Forever 21 ice cream swimsuit here and here is this years swimsuit buy. I tend to buy one every year and then build m collection. I did let go a lot of my older ones and just stick with three I styled in this blog post. This is similar to last years swimsuit outfit I wore in Palawan here. This swimsuit is metallic pink and the ice cream is much brighter in person so it works well with the pops of hot pink. Pretty much all the accessories are hot pink including the H&M statement earrings, the bag, bow and flip flops which have lollipops so it is a dessert inspired outfit. The pink mirror sunglasses are a lighter pink but still matches. The skirt is a bit short that’s why I use it as a swimsuit cover up and only to the pool and beach but it is a pretty skirt and much more vibrant in person.
The 5th of the 6 summer outfits to wear to and from the pool is another hot pink look. I love this color and whenever I can wear a full hot pink outfit I will. I mean it is summer and you might be on holiday so be adventurous. I know I would and will rock the full color look. Again, a lot of the same accessories as the outfit above. Remember I was in a hotel so I didn’t pack much so I reused a lot of the accessories which is the point to mix and match everything. This swimsuit is so flattering and I still use it. I think this is the 2016 swimsuit I bought for that summer and I still wear it as the ruffles disguise so much and I feel so confident in it. It is a rosy hot pink and not so much neon and it is backless and ties up. All of my swimsuits are different styles and I can just pick which one to use. The pink cover up dress again is a bit too short for everyday use and very thin material but similar to a light towel so it is much better off as a swimsuit cover.
The last one is just how I would style a swimsuit. You have seen me style this swimsuit so many ways. I still love it and this was last years swimsuit purchase and much more expensive but so worth the money. It is a bit crinkled being packed away since last summer but wearing it will make the creases go away. This is what I would wear just lounging on a summer day by the pool or beach. I have my sun hat and the blush pink sandals that actually go so well with the swim suit. This clutch and the earrings again are for photos to add details and last is the nude sunglasses and I love the shape of these. They are actually my go to shades right now.
Those were 6 summer outfits to wear to and from the pool or beach on a sunny day on vacation or locally. I loved styling these and creating these outfits. I was styling a lookbook and I was laying them all out on the bed anyways so the idea popped into my head that I could take pictures not only to remember what goes with what but to do a post. I love when things come together like that and it wasn’t meant to be a blog post but it turned into one. They were pretty much all the outfits and pieces I packed to take with me on my staycation as I was planning to shoot and go swimming at the pool/man-made beach at the resort I was at. I loved all the colors and items and it feels so summery to me. I’d love to know what you will be wearing this summer and what trends you want to try out. Mine is the straw circle bag and two piece sets and I need to get more. Also which is your fave look I styled above as I’d like to know which one caught your eye.

Thanks! And yes they are!
There’s too much pink for my liking, but I like the way you styled this pieces. I absolutely love the brown bag. I also wear swimsuits as bodysuits sometimes so I really like that look and you’re ready for the beach/pool and all activities before and after it basically 🙂

Thanks so much! I agree turning swimsuits into bodysuits are such a good idea and saves space if you’re packing outfits.
These are all super cute outfits! Makes me miss the warm weather a little!
