Pink Milkshake | What I Wore

Milkshake brings all the boys!Happy Wednesday! Today’s outfit is a sweet one. If you read my how I treated myself on Valentines day post than this is the outfit I wore. I went on a cupcake date with Jelly and we had a fun day eating pretty cupcakes and drinking sweet milkshakes. It was the best day and I get to show you this pink girly outfit I wore!

For this outfit it’s pretty similar to this one here. I put a little twist though and made it a very pink and white outfit. I started with this top which is my favorite with the ruffle sleeves. I have many with different colors and my favorite has to be the blush pink one which I should wear more often than the black but the black goes with a lot more things as it is a basic color. I love this light pink shade and to make more of a twist I added a pink sweater around my shoulders. I need to try this more often because I love this and adds a fun touch. I paired it with my  favorite white skirt at the moment that is the perfect spring staple and has been going with so many things in my wardrobe lately.

For the accessories, first I am using my brand new bag. I already told the story of how I got this bag in my last blog post. It is so pretty and my brand new obsession. If you are tired of seeing my black velvet and pearl one than this will replace that and you will be seeing this one a lot instead. I’m planing outfits around this bag already and can’t wait to get more use out of it. It is kind of Chanel inspired or looking and I love the design of it and of course the color. It’s pretty large if you can’t tell and holds a lot of stuff comfortably. I just love it and can’t wait to feature it with more outfits. The shoes I went with my cream laser cut heeled sandals but I was going to go for my nude suede ones but I felt these were girlier and went with the outfit just as much. For jewelry, I went with my forever 21 statement earrings and necklace that kind of match even though I bought the separately. It made the outfit more glam too. Last and again one of my favorite accessories right now, the beret! I love the blush pink and you will be seeing more of it because I just love it and matches me so perfectly. I didn’t know I would love the beret trend but I do and you can read more about the obsession here.

This is what I wore to my cupcake date on Valentine’s which I wrote about here. However I had to reshoot these as the golden hour was too powerful and made the pictures very bright too edit so I decided to just redo them. The day I redid them there was a proposal being set up. It was so sweet and though I didn’t witness the actual proposal it looked so cool and I never seen something like that. I’m not sure if I would want a public and grand proposal but if it happens than I’m not going to object to it either. The guy went through all the trouble to set up in the middle of the mall right below where I was shooting and it was fun to see the set up. So I guess if I didn’t reshoot these than I wouldn’t have saw that. The first time I shot these it was what I was wearing when my cousin and I went to Vanilla cupcake and as you can see the outfit was very appropriate for it. That’s why I named this outfit pink milkshake as I had a strawbrrry milkshake that was the exact pink I was wearing so instead of just naming it strawberry milkshake I went with pink milkshake. At first I thought it was odd but after seeing it for a while I like it better and it looks unique. I don’t know I just went with it as a fun name since it is actually really hard to name outfits after all these years doing it and I don’t know how some fashion bloggers do it.
