Coffee please, on a rainy day!
Happy Friday! It’s almost the weekend and I want to show you what I wore last weekend. As you can see it was quite rainy and gloomy but it didn’t stop me from going out with my cousin on a coffee date. I found the perfect outfit for it and had a chilled afternoon shooting my outfit, pictures for another blog post and getting some hot coffee. So here is my chic and casual outfit that is perfect for a day at the coffee shop!
My top is from last year. I’m not a huge fan of coffee but I do drink it sometimes especially in college I had it more often. Now I stick to other drinks but I do enjoy a coffee every once in a while. I didn’t buy the tee for the saying though I bought it as I wanted a casual quote tee for not so fancy days out which I can throw on. This is perfect for that and I made it even more casual by tying a knot as it was quite long. I love the effect and I hadn’t done this to a t-shirt in a long time. It has a cute little pocket which I don’t use but love the detail. If you love coffee and the saying then I linked some similar tees down below since mine is not available.
I paired the tee with some black jeans. There the no rips in the knee ones as it was rainy and I didn’t want my knees out that day. I also just wore the other pair recently so I thought I would wear these ones as I only wore them once before. I forgot how big they are on my so I need to take them in and get tailored to fit better on me. The tie of the top made it see the button detail of my black jeans which make the subtle detail noticeable. My bag has been my everyday bag which goes with so many of my outfits and I can’t get enough of it so that is why you will see it a lot. My shoes are my favorite at the moment as well and they add a little fanciness to the outfit. I love that I can dress them up or down with an outfit by the way I style them.
For my jewelry I kept it minimal by wearing my rope bow necklace I wear on casual days and my bow pearl earrings which you see a lot since they are my everyday earrings I wear most days. Last accessory is my beret. I was going to go for a bow but what better accessory to wear to a coffee shop than a beret to feel a little Parisian for the day. I’m still not over the beret trend as you can see. Finally the lipstick I’m wearing matches the color of my top and is the exact same color which I love to match my outfit. I’m wearing NYX Lip Lingerie in Exotic if you’re wondering as it is such a pretty color.

That was my casual outfit I wore to Starbucks this week! I had to go out to pay for my internet bill so that gave me an excuse to shoot an outfit but it was raining pretty hard that day and I was going to cancel but I really had to pay for my internet so I braved the rain. So Jelly and I made shelter at Starbucks and had some hot drinks. I usually go for a frap but I changed my mind and went for something new which I don’t regret and might get it again and again. It was Jelly’s first time and she was so intrigued by it. I’ve been going to Starbucks since I was 14 so I kind of know my way around to ordering so my cousin’s always makes me order. With our drinks in hand we sat outside and it was under something and an umbrella so we didn’t get rained on. I brought my laptop and got some blog work done in the meantime and had a lovely afternoon and a lot done. The rain eventually stopped and so with the remaining light we snapped these and so that’s why there aren’t many pictures but I like how they turned out.
I also edited these on Lightroom and love how they turned out so now I’m going to spend this weekend learning Lightroom and playing around with it because it has done wonders for these pictures. These were fairly dark and I posted on Twitter the before and after and it did an amazing job at making these photos more vibrant and decent. I’m looking forward to experimenting with it some more. I’m going to go and sort my weekend plans out now as I have a lot planned and see what I get up to. On Monday there is sort of a part two coming out and you just have to come back and see that as it is one of my favorites I wrote so far. Look forward to that and hope you have a lovely weekend yourselves!

What would you wear on casual coffee date?

That's such a cool t-shirt! I love the colour as well. I'm not the biggest fan of cofee either but sometimes I feel so tired I need to have one. I've never used lightroom, I used to edit my pictures on photoshop but on this computer I don't have photoshop so I used to edit on picmonkey but now you need a membership to save the pictures so I just use photoscape and I really like it.Marta – http://www.aroundcolours.com
Thanks Marta! Lightroom is so cool and so is Photoshop and it is so fun playing with it. I actually started with picmonkey and loved it but it is a shame you have to pay now that's why I stopped using it. I need to try photoscape I guess as an alternative. Thanks!xo Jackie
