Best Dressed Princess | What I Wore

Princess For a Day!
Happy Monday! I’m excited to share with you today’s outfit as it’s been almost a year in the making. And by that I mean, it has taken me ten months to finally shoot this outfit and have it as a proper blog post. I’ve been meaning to do it but I just kept putting it off until the perfect moment. That perfect moment is now and I’m so happy with how the pictures turned out and if I hadn’t of waited so long I don’t think I would be this happy with the result if I had rushed it. So the back story to this outfit was I went to an event last year called the Project Vanity 9th Anniversary Blog Event. They required to come dressed in pink and had a little contest of best dressed. Well that day I had a different outfit in mind but it didn’t work like something was telling me not to wear that outfit so I changed into this. It so happens that decision led me to winning best dressed that day and I won a prize for it. I’ll link the blog post and vlog from that exact day below if you’d like to know more. I never got a chance to shoot that outfit besides a couple iPhone shots. I took those at the mall that wasn’t well lit and it was just good at the time.

Since I loved the outfit so much I wanted to properly shoot it and show it off. I then planned to shoot it in Taguig where these were taken. At the time I was so busy because I was getting ready to leave on a plane to Palawan and my birthday was coming up too and I just put it off until it was too late. It was either rainy or I was too busy or something so I left the outfit idea note in my phone until I could. Now in November I wasn’t as busy and made a slot to go to this place and shoot a mini lookbook but again it got rescheduled. December came and I was in Baguio shooting winter and Christmas looks so no room for this girly pink ensemble. Well an idea sparked in my head mid-January and I realized February was coming up and that meant Valentine’s Day. Then it hit me. What a perfect time to shoot this look? So that lookbook in my notes I had stored for months including this exact outfit became a reality. I managed to shoot the lookbook and 4 outfits which you probably have been seeing on the blog. Now that you know the backstory and the lengths I went through to get this outfit shot then I can finally give you the details of what the best dressed outfit looks like.

For the best dressed outfit I started with this top. It was my favorite top of 2017 and i wore it everywhere. If I did a 2017 fashion favorites then this would be number one on the list. I saw one in stock online and I think I am tempted to buy it. So it’s blush pink which is one of my favorite colors to wear. However that is not my favorite detail and I think you can guess what is. The sleeves tie into bows and I love that. It’s just the perfect top and that event I mentioned was the first time I ever wore this top. I had just snipped off the tags right before I left the house. Now to go with this gorgeous top I went with this hot pink tulle skirt. I had it custom made and I have a few custom made tulle skirts as I was obsessed with them last year. I had one done in of course my favorite color as it is my signature color. It is so flirty and I feel amazing in it. Like a princess. It is amazing to twirl in and is just amazing.

For my accessories I kept it just as princessy as the outfit. I did change up the bag from last time as I thought this one went better. I got this clutch from my cousin’s wife when she came back from Dubai. It is a pink peachy studded clutch and I love the tone of the pink to contrast the rest of the outfit and not be too matchy in color but more of a gradient. As for shoes, I went with my cream heeled sandals as they were the perfect option and went so well plus I needed to add heels to make the outfit even more dressy as last time I wore it with sandals and I don’t think it went as well as these heels. The earrings I went with these bow wreath ones because honestly I had no other earrings that I thought would look good. I forgot where I put my actually bow ones so I went with these. I did pull out my Pandora bracelet I got for my birthday and it was the perfect touch and matched the outfit to the tee. Lastly my bow is new and it is a blush pink with rose gold polka dots and it is so dainty and feminine. I didn’t want to go for too big of a one as I already had bows on my sleeves to the size I went for complimented the bow sleeves.

I’m over the moon happy with how these turned out and now that I can look back at it I think I’m much happier I put it off. It was the right decision as this is more than what I had in mind. I felt like an absolute princess shooting these and the backdrop was perfect. It really is like I shot these in Venice and it matched the location perfectly. I don’t think I can come up with a better shoot.

If you didn’t know I took these in the Grand Venice Canal Mall in Taguig last week. I took my cousin and his family and we had a fun day shooting my pictures and then touring the sites. A lot of little girls stopped to stare as I was twirling and taking my pictures and it was so cute seeing their faces light up as they stared at me. That’s why I named this look. I felt like a Disney princess. I guess that’s what it feels like. So while I was there I shoot four outfits and a lookbook. The outfits will be coming out throughout the month and the lookbook is out now on my channel. I love how it turned out and though it was stressful shooting 4 outfits in a row and changing right after the other and switching out the accessories and makeup and all that I think they are worth it as I love each and every one I shot that day.

So that was my best dressed outfit. I do think it is and even if I didn’t win then I think this is still my best outfit. If I was an outfit I think this would be it and I would wear it for the rest of my life if I had to. I hope you enjoyed this outfit and let me know if you won best dressed for anything before because honestly it’s the coolest feeling. So I hope you have an amazing week and if you are putting something off then I suggest waiting for the right moment and then doing it!

The little bows are so sweet…I love how they are on the cold shoulders but also, you have one in your hair. Pretty in pink!
