Gifts That Keep On Giving!
Happy! Today’s outfit is shifting towards spring. I find it so funny that last week I was wearing a sweater and this week I’m in this outfit. It is a bit cooler especially in the evenings but remember I live in a climate that is pretty hot year round so I can get away with this outfit. It is making me excited for more spring themed outfits and getting to recreate some of the trends coming up though. So here is my first spring outfit to start off the year and here’s to more!
For my outfit I want to talk about my top. It was actually one of the gifts I got for Christmas. My cousin and his wife got it for me. I’m usually so particular with getting these things as a gift but my cousin really hit it on the head with this top. I love it and it is very me. I love the color and they know I’m all about floral print. She also knew about the off the shoulder trend and knows my bow obsession so all of those checked my boxes for things I love in clothes. It’s actually a dress but again too short as I’m really tall so I made it work but tucking it into a denim skirt. I brought out the denim skirt again and it matched perfectly with it. I love the colors together and it turned out to be a cute outfit.
For my accessories I’m going to start with my bag as there is a little story behind it. Actually it is another Christmas present from my other cousin and aunt who I live with. They know my bag obsession and how much I use them for outfit shoots. So they got me this one. While I was planning this outfit I grabbed the top and then the bag and did a double take and then realized they were the exact same color. If you see them in real life right next to each other you can see they are spot on. I asked my aunt and my cousin if they bought it at the same time or knew what they were both getting me but no they didn’t know. It just was a weird coincidence that worked in my favor. I love matching things and colors together so it was fate.I find it so cool that it happened that way. When I showed both of them even they freaked out so now I have a bag and top that matched. It wouldn’t be a bag I typically buy myself but it is handy and would be perfect as a clutch.
My shoes are my pink sandals I wore once over the summer as I bought them towards the end but I get to get them out again and will be wearing them even more soon. They are a gorgeous blush pink and bring out the color of the flowers in the top. Not only that but it matches my velvet bow as well and I wanted to do the whole mauve and blush pink tones in this outfit and bring them out. As I said everything had to match especially in this outfit. Last is my earrings that again match and are the perfect colors and since it is a flower it matches the floral print. So in other words this is the perfectly matched outfit which makes my heart flutter and feels so satisfying. My lipstick again matches and was the perfect mauve to match the top. I actually wrote about it and it is my top mauve lip color of 2017 in my last blog post.

That was my second outfit I shot this year so far. I am doing a lot better than the last outfit I shot for NYE here. I manage to do some shopping for my dad for his computer afterwards with Jelly and my cousin. I’ve actually been sticking to a schedule for shooting outfits and now every Thursday I go out and shoot my outfits. I am sticking to it and feel so productive that way. It was so nice getting to use my Christmas presents as an outfit. My family really know me and it is so nice they know my passion and even said I could use their gifts for a blog post. SO I had to dedicate this one to them. Without getting these items I wouldn’t have an outfit to shoot so I’m glad I got to do that. The title of this outfit is an inside joke with my Christmas present so I’m not going to explain it but just know I titled it that because of a something funny my cousin’s and I came up with. So that it is it for this sort of spring like outfit. I am so happy how it turned out and yay for me using my Christmas presents. I think it is a fun way to show them off instead of the classic “What I Got for Christmas” blog post. I hope you enjoyed this outfit and a look at some of my gifts I got.

What would be the perfect gift to receive to help with your blog if you have one?
