Dressy to Casual
Happy Wednesday! Today’s outfit is one of my favorites I wore this month. I typically wouldn’t wear this but I wanted to try a new style and it turns out I like how this outfit turned out. It’s still girly but very laid back too. Also it’s black and white which I don’t do too often but when I do I see why I do it. I love my colors but there is something about it plus I have been loving patterns specially stripes. So enough about me gushing about how much I love this outfit, here are the outfit details!
For my outfit I’m starting with the main piece which is my dress. This “skirt” is actually a dress I wore already here and haven’t worn since. I have it in my closet and I stare at it wanting to wear it again but I don’t have anywhere fancy to go and wear it so it just hangs there. Then an idea popped into my head by maybe trying the whole casual look with it. So I paired it with this sweater to cover it up as this dress is backless so it is quite an evening dress. I love this sweater and I wore it here. To add to the casual vibe and to try something new I paired this outfit with sneakers. I actually haven’t tried the whole dress and sneakers thing before and I think I like it. I always pair my dresses with heels or dressy shoes but never sneakers so it totally changed my mind. For the accessories I went with a pop of pink. I was going to go red and I know it is a more popular color but I know red is going to show up with a lot of my holiday looks so I went with my favorite which is blush pink. The bag is my casual bag I always go with, my H&M earrings which I have been wearing everyday, my bow pearl charm bracelet and lastly a blush pink satin bow.

That is it for this outfit! I actually really loved this outfit and how I styled it. The day I shoot this outfit was pretty eventful too. I spent the weekend at my cousin’s house and that started off the fun. I love spending the night over there and it always makes me so happy getting to spend time with them. We then took my cousin and her whole family to BGC and I’ve been meaning to go there for a while but I finally got a chance when I got tickets for It’s a Girl Thing. So before that started we went to take these photos and the park had so many others doing photos too and it made me feel at home. It’s hard finding locations for outfit shoots and sometimes I get stopped to not take them so I finally found a place that has pretty views. I have to go back to the city to take more now. Once we were done, Jelly and I went to the Globe It’s a Girl Thing which I saw my favorite 3 of my favorite Youtubers. I just uploaded a vlog of that day on my Youtube channel if you want to see the full day. It was so fun and I enjoyed my whole weekend with my cousins. That was what I was up to but the fun doesn’t stop there. There are a lot of birthdays to celebrate this weekend with family so I’m looking forward to that. So that is it and I hope you have a lovely rest of the week!

What do you do to take a piece of clothing from dressy to casual?

That's such a cute outfit! It's adorable and super girly. I love that you paired a sweater with a dress, I try to do it sometimes but it doesn't always workout, you did it wonderfully.Marta – http://www.aroundcolours.com
This is such a cute and ladylike look! LOVE the skirt and your handbag. The floral embellishments are so cute. ๐ xo, Chloe // https://funinthecloset.com/off-shoulders-fall/
