The Perfect LBD
Happy Friday! Today I’m showing you the outfit I wore when I got all dressed up for a date night out. I’m obsessed with this dress and it’s made my love for the LBD (Little Black Dress) to come out. I have maybe 2 or 3 including this one and now it makes me want to buy more and wear them more often. Since I discovered my love for them I show you how I styled this one and list a few similar ones. So here is the perfect little black dress and the accessories I wore to style it up for a night out!
The outfit I styled is perfect for a date night or a night out. I’m all about dressing up and it is fun getting all glammed up once in a while. This dress from Dresslily is stunning. As soon as I saw it on the site I knew I had to get it and I knew the perfect occasion to wear it to. The top part of it is so pretty and I love the see through mesh detail and of course the ruffles and embroidered flowers make it so girly but the same time it still is a bit edgy too. My favorite styles to mix together at the moment. The fit was quite nice and it does flow nicely on me. The only thing is it is a bit short for me as I am 5’9 so quite tall. I also wore 4 1/2 heels with it making me taller. It isn’t that bad but I do think I would have preferred it a little longer. Other than that I love this dress and I can’t wait to style it a few different ways.
Since I loved this dress so much I decided to list a few similar choices. If mine is not as easy to get a hold of I included dresses that are close in appearance and all of them are less than $50. I’m always on the look out for affordable fashion and don’t like spending over price for something I won’t wear to often like dresses like these for special occasions so I made sure to find some pretty dresses without breaking the bank. I based it around little black dresses that have mesh or embroidery details. There are some other dresses as well like polka dot dress and the cold shoulder trend dresses as well for a variety.

I love the accessories I added with this outfit. As you can see I went with pops of red. I do love a good fiery red to add to an outfit. The earrings I hardly wear but when I do I feel so fun and love how out there they are. I like sporting a quirky accessory here and there. I bought these pom pom earrings last year as I was inspired by Perrie’s in the Hair music video and when I saw these I had to have them. With this outfit I felt they were perfect as this dress doesn’t require a necklace because of the neckline so statement earrings was the way to go. Then I paired my red mini cross body bag to bring out the pops of red in the embroidered flowers as that’s the color I wanted to stand out but I like there are so many colors to play off. My bow is red just to match and I had to wear a bright red lip to finish it off. As for shoes I brought out my big girl heels as I call them. Since they are so tall they make me feel confident and like I can rule the world in them. I only wear them when I go out or if there is a special occasion though. They matched the dress so perfectly too and it was a good reason to bring them out. It was pretty simple but I loved how everything matches because that is how I always do it.
That was my dress and how I styled it. I don’t have many LBD but I do think I a in love with them now and need to find more. I don’t always where them but when I do I feel so pretty in them. It is what I wore on a mini night out with cousins last weekend. I didn’t get a picture of the outfit and I loved it so much so I decided to shoot it for a proper blog post. When I did shoot this I just went out with Jelly and we went out to dinner as well afterwards. It is such a great dress and so versatile. I just have to find another excuse to wear it. I might have to convince my cousins to go out again this weekend just so I can. Other than that I don’t know what my weekend plans are. I’m hoping to shoot some Youtube videos though as I have some time and space finally. So I guess I’m off but I hope you have a lovely weekend yourselves!
