1 Bodysuit 3 Ways
Happy Friday! I thought I would share with you three looks I styled for my autumn photo shoot last weekend. I went up to the mountains in Tagaytay as that is the most autumn place I can go. Since it is quite high up than it gets colder up there and I can get away with sweaters. I try to embrace autumn when in fact we don’t get much cold weather or change seasons but I do like dressing up trying to feel like autumn in my head at least. I also love the wearing berry this time of year. From my clothes to my accessories and even my makeup. I’m all about pinks but when I think autumn all I want to wear is burgundy. That’s why I styled this burgundy bodysuit. I did buy it last year but only wore it once and when I was cleaning out my closet I stumbled upon this piece again and it got me so excited to wear it again. I knew exactly how I was going to style it and then I found another way and then yet another so I came up with the idea of showing you how to style it three ways but I could probably do more if I had to. I’ve always wanted to attempt to do this and now is this time. I have a casual one, an in between one and last a dressy one. All three I would so wear in autumn if we had one but I styled them for a non-cold kind of weather. Of course you can adjust however weather you have. I just loved each one and I hope you enjoy how I style this burgundy body suit three ways!
The bodysuit as I said is a year old now but I have linked similar ones above. It is such a comfy body suit and I love the color. I am obsessed with wearing this color and now my wardrobe is being overrun with this color which I am not complaining. I have to add something underneath as it is really open and I don’t feel comfortable but the model who wore this when it was still online had it and it looked so flattering but I can’t pull it off. It is fun thing to add different combinations underneath though and there is a lot of options to add in which is nice. Plus it gives the bodysuit a more put together look and style different ways.
The first look was the casual look. I wanted it to be effortless like you just threw it on to go out for a quick errand run but still looked put together enough just in case you run into someone you knew which is probably always the case. I added a grey cami underneath so I don’t feel so exposed. I’m not blessed in the chest department to hold this up so I feel more comfortable adding something underneath. I was going to go for white but unfortunately I misplaced mine and went with grey instead. The bottoms are my new favorite jeans from SM Plus. I just got these and they are just what I needed in my wardrobe. Trust me you will be seeing more of these as I’ve taken a few outfits wearing these already. I’m not sure if these are mom jeans or boyfriend jeans. I think they are supposed to be a bit looser but I like the way these fit and flatter my shape. I do love the distressed look with these too and it isn’t full on ripped like my black jeans in the next outfit. It’s just a slight design detail and I absolutely love that about them.
The accessories I kept it simple. I kept to the white theme with my white everyday tote bag from H&M, a white bow and my white sneakers I have been in love with. I usually don’t wear shoes too often but I have been reaching for these and just love wearing them. Last for jewelry, I just added my pearl twist bracelet and I love that pearls are so on trend right now and my white bow earrings from H&M. The only thing I would have added was a statement belt with this look. I don’t own one but maybe I should look into one. If I could though I think the popular Gucci ones that I’ve seen everywhere would be the perfect touch to finish this outfit.
The second outfit is a more half and half look. So it is half dressed up but at the same time it is still casual. I really experimented with this look and went out of my comfort zone. If you couldn’t tell already I have a very girl and feminine style of how I dressed and this is pretty edgy. I do like trying new things once in a while and I liked how this outfit turned out. Again the bodysuit with the grey cami. This was supposed to have a black one inside but again I misplaced it. I hope the white and black cami somewhere in my house is enjoying themselves. The bottoms for this look are my black ripped skinny jeans. I am such a fan of these now and feel so cool wearing them. If I ever want an edgy look I throw these on and feel ten times more bad ass. For this look I threw on a vintage denim jacket I borrowed from my aunt. I don’t own one and wanted one to complete this look after seeing them all over Instagram. I might have to find my own as it did make the outfit and love the denim and black together.
To match the outfit I kept the accessories just as edgy. I love this cross body bag from Forever 21 and the silver hardware on it. Then I paired it with my suede black wedges with cut outs in it and they are perfect with the outfit. Last is a black bow to finish of the look of course and complete the whole vibe of the outfit. I also wore the same jewelry as the last outfit.
The final outfit is my favorite. It was initially what I had in mind when I found the bodysuit and how I wanted to style it. It’s the most me outfit and this girly look is my go to style to wear. I just feel so comfortable in an outfit like this and you can find different variations of it on my blog I’m sure. I traded the grey cami for a black patterned crop top to layer inside. I love how it turned out and paired with the bodysuit and skirt. I was looking for a suede a line tan skirt for this look but had no luck finding one so I jut went with a black skater skirt that is my go to skirt to pair with any outfit if needed.
As for the accessories with the third look, I went with a more glam vibe for it. If you couldn’t tell I bought another Chloe Nile dupe but this one is more similar than the last one in my last outfit here. It is a smaller size and has the collapsible ring handle. I love this cream color and it is such a gorgeous bag. I’m trying to think of more outfits to wear with both the bags now as I am so in love with both and can’t pick which one I love more. I also love the color of the bag blended so well with the print of my top inside. The shoes have been another favorite if you couldn’t tell. It matches so well with the color of the bag and since it is a nude shade it doesn’t make the outfit too harsh and dark which I didn’t want to go for another edgy look. It toned the outfit down nicely. Last I couldn’t do an outfit without adding in a matching colored bow so to finalize the look I added a burgundy bow to match the bodysuit. The jewelry I’m wearing the same earrings but added my stone heart pendent necklace that just goes with several outfit and again the color matches.

That was how I styled this burgundy bodysuit. I quite enjoyed this and had fun styling each look. There will be a behind the scenes to this photo shoot in a vlog coming out on my channel soon. It was such a fun day but a little stressful trying to finish these outfits. I was a little disappointed with how these turned out as it was so foggy up in the mountains and made the lens all weird and a lot turned out too bright and blurry. I manage to make them a little more decent in Photoshop but I feel like they could have come out better. I am so particular with my images so it might be me but I like having them just right. I did save a few and they turned out okay. The video however turned out better and I love the ow to style lookbook I created. It took me so long to edit but I am so happy with it. You can watch it here or down below and don’t forget to subscribe to see more!
I hope you liked this and get inspired if you have something similar in your closet. Please let me know if you want to see more how to styles like this. I plan on doing so many more but I would like to know your suggestions. I miss styling challenges like this especially when I did them in fashion school and we were assigned to style outfits like this I always loved doing them. So I brought them back and rediscovered how much I liked styling. Again, please let me know as it would be so fun. I hope you enjoyed this! I’m not sure what my weekend plans are yet but I am going to have a break after shooting, editing and creating content all week long straight. I think I’m heading to my cousin’s and meeting up with Jelly to do some shopping or just have a girl weekend. So I’ll go now and have a lovely weekend!
