Airplane, Here I Come!
Happy Friday! If you’re reading this right now, I’m on a plane heading towards somewhere tropical! I had this trip planned since September and now that it’s here I’m really excited for it. Since I had it planned for such a long time now it makes it easier to get organized and pack ahead of time. I’ve had so many ideas in mind for the trip and it made it less stressful that everything was planned ahead. Today I’m sharing how I pack my carry-on suitcase for a beach trip.
I’m taking both a carry on and also checking another bag as well because of all the outfits I’m taking I needed two. This is the carry on version and later on I’ll show you the main luggage one and what I should and shouldn’t have brought when I get back. I decided to split them up just in case the airport has lost my checked baggage or it didn’t make it to my destination on time. As it got closer it was harder to pack for the trip because I wasn’t sure and I needed to go out and buy a pair of shorts and new flip flops and final details I forgot about. Make sure to be a little more strategic about all the outfits and go shopping on time because that is where it got frustrating for me. The last minute stuff ended up going in my carry on so I’m glad I left some space.
The right side of my suitcase has a zippered closure and in there I kept some wedges, my camera bag and one piece to my luggage organizer set. They really come in handy and it has spare clothes in this one. Also I packed on the right side:
– Extra underwear and a change of clothes
– Set of pajamas
– Flip-Flops
– Headphones for the plane
– A small zip bag with travel-sized essentials: sunscreen & lip balm
– Gadgets (iPhone, iPad with chargers)
– Camera Bag (DSLR, Vlog Cam & GoPro)
– any travel documents
I also take anything valuable with me in my carry on as I want to make sure I have it at all times.
My suitcase doesn’t look really full of neat as I just needed the essentials and the overflow of my suitcase. It’s actually a lot more compact when it is packed up to save space but for pictures I left a lot of room. So here’s what I have packed in the left side:
– Bag of choice
– Beach bag
– Sunhat
I’m traveling with a handbag but I put stuff inside to help it keep it’s shape and it leaves me with more space and to take more stuff. I also put my beach bag in as I didn’t have any room in my checked in baggage but I also have a few things in there as well.
I would have packed my laptop but I’m not taking it on this trip but it would go in it’s case on the right. In the net
zippered compartment to the right I put my headphones, a H&M luggage tag I bought that need to put on and also this compartment is the perfect place for socks. I might add in a few snacks too as you never know and it will make the wait for the flight a little bit quicker if I had my fave junk food. That’s the overview of all that is in and it probably will be a little neater once I reorganize it one more time before I leave for the airport.
Also I had to include this shot of Angel peaking around the suitcase. She is so upset I’m leaving and hates seeing suitcases out. Once she sees a suitcase she knows someone is leaving and it breaks my heart. Even though I love traveling it is so sad to leave her. She walked over to me as I was on the floor packing and sat down beside me and put her chin on my lap. I burst into tears and felt so bad but I promised her I will video call her whenever I get a chance. Maybe I might bring her back a treat and souvenir too.
That is what I packed with me in my carry on! I hope you got inspiration from this and it helps you in case you are jetting off somewhere soon. All the posts from this point on will be scheduled so I hope you enjoy all the content I wrote before I left. I’ll leave reminders in each post but this is just letting you know I am somewhere by the beach right now and will tell you all about it when I get back. Let me what’s in your carry-on and what essentials you had to have to
give me inspiration for next time I travel and any experiences you had
at airports as those are always fun to read. Hope you have a lovely weekend everyone!
What one thing do you take with you everywhere even on a plane?

Love these tips girl! I always try to fit everything in my carry on when I'm going on a beach trip ๐ – Kristenwww.sophisticatedgal.com
Such great tips! I try to travel with only a carry on but it's so hard!
You're definitely smart to pack at least some clothes in your carry-on just in case anything happens to the checked luggage! Better to be safe! ๐ I usually try to pack just a carry-on when traveling, as I don't want to have to wait for my luggage–I'm so excited to arrive at my destination!
That's definitely some good advice! Thanks for sharing. ๐
Good tips! I've published a few carry on bag packing posts but I like yours! It's definitely a good tip to keep all valuables or anything you MUST have with you in your carry on.
