The Forgotten Makeup Haul
Happy Friday! Also cheers to the weekend. What better way to start the weekend than a bit of makeup shopping if you don’t have anything to do. I have a haul I’ve been meaning to show you that is probably about a year old now. I think this draft has been here for a while and after finally getting the haul filmed I thought it was time to actually publish it. It’s a good thing I did shoot a few pictures from before but had to add to it but good thing I made it match and used the same background. That is why I called this the forgotten haul as I literally forgot about all of this and stored it away. I did some spring cleaning and was reminded I knew I bought some stuff like makeup remover since I ran out and so I cleaned out my beauty cabinet I have that holds a lot of the products that I use daily and the other section holds things I need to photograph/ film before I could use it. I guess it somehow got buried and shoved to the back and I forgot I bought all this stuff. Now it seems like I just bought everything over again and I now that I have this haul up and taken pictures I can play with them and try a lot of new makeup and beauty products. So I won’t put this off any longer I will show you everything in this forgotten haul.
Maybelline // Makeup
Starting off this haul I am showing you quite a few things I got from Maybelline. When I bought a lot of this stuff they had some really good deals like buy 3 get 1 free or 50% off and a lot of good deals. I wait for announcements of discounts to get products I have my eye on and at the same time I save money so that is my tip just in case. I went with an eye and lip theme and bought 2 eyeshadow palettes the Nudes Palette and the Blushed Nudes Palette. I don’t have many neutral palette so I’m so excited to use the and get creative with some smoke eye looks with that. As for the blushed palette I know I am going to get some good use out of this and it has some gorgeous shades I don’t already own. Then I got a liquid eyeliner and a pencil liner. I picked those up since I didn’t have any at the time and it would go great with the eye palettes. I heard great things about the Color Tattoos and got one in Bad to the Bronze and it is going to be a great base for the Nudes Palette. Next this mascara is probably one of my favorite things I bought. I have seen so many good things and reviews of this mascara from so many Youtubers/bloggers so naturally I wanted to see the hype. Last is lips and actually I already started using these two Pink Alert lipsticks to complete the collection and actually reviewed them already so see my full thoughts on them both here. The last lipstick was a random by the queue ready to pay kind of purchase. It was the last one at the stand and I felt sorry it was just alone so I just added it to my basket. It was only 99php and I tried the lipstick range before but only the nudes and berry shades so I needed to try the pink so the shade is Pink Avenue. Then the final thing I got was the Rosy Matte Lipsticks which I bought 4 the first round but I wanted the last one so I hunted for it and found it finally but I’ll tell you how I got the final shade down below.
NYX // Matte Lip Creams
My next purchase was at SM Department Store at SM Aura. I remember buying these as I forgot my memory card for my DSLR at home and I traveled all that way to take outfit pictures. While passing the camera store to buy a new one I saw in the distance a NYX counter and I never saw one or tried any of their products so I got excited and after buying my memory card and taking outfit pictures I proceeded there and was really overwhelmed on what I should get. I had a list on my iPhone of the Soft Matt Lip Creams as I heard there were a few dupes for the Kylie Lip Kits so the lady helped give me the shades I wanted and I ended up picking four Sydney, Cannes, Sao Paolo and Addis Abidda but I wanted a few more but they didn’t have ones individually but it was in the set so I got this 3 piece set that includes Istanbul, Ibiza and Prague which are great season shades that can be used for Spring, Summer and Autumn respectively. I’ve been using the individual ones a couple weeks after getting them so I have had them for quite a while so I have a review on that pretty soon.
Sleek // Matte Me Lip Creams
To continue the matte lips thing I went on to Zalora as I heard they had new lipsticks in. I was going on a browse and saw they had the last Rosy Matte shade I needed that was sold out everywhere I went. I knew it was a sign because I had been looking for it. Then I saw they had Birthday Suit which at the time was a really popular color and always being sold out and when I was on there it was in stock so in the basket it went. I couldn’t justify the shipping on just two lippies so I added two more to get free shipping. I know I could have just saved more if I didn’t but I ended up getting Petal and Bittersweet another popular shade that didn’t come back into stock for a really long time so I was really lucky. Then back in November I saw their twitter announced the last 2 colors of that launch were coming back in stock right when I was going to be there at SM MOA so you might have seen it in a vlog. I then bought Shabby Chic and Velvet Slipper the last darker two shades. I swatched them last night and all I can say is they are lovely but don’t worry more on them soon for a full review post. Another favorite purchase is the Sleek Highlighting Palette in Solstice. I was at SM Southmall saw a counter just went over to have a nosey and see the palette in person but I was getting ready to be disappointed and being told it was sold out.but it wasn’t! It was the last one and I wasn’t going to get it and be good but it was the last one so I bite the bullet and got it and it was so worth it. The packaging is so mesmerizing and I can’t wait to up my highlight game.
Too Faced // Sephora
This was a very cheeky Sephora PH order. So the first of the year I promised to be on a beauty and makeup spending ban until I go on holiday but when I get back I can start spending again. I forgot about that rule and went on Sephora and saw they had the Too Faced Christmas Collection ornaments on sale since it was already past Christmas and they needed to get rid of it. I was tempting to getting it but the original price put me off and I then realized I couldn’t spend money. Then I saw it was I think less than 100php each. That was such a good deal and gives me an excuse I went through with it. In the end I spent $5 on both of those which is incredible and I saw each one retails for $12 so really the best deal you can get. Now I can’t wait to try the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and Melted Berry Lipstick. I know they are smaller sizes but it still is cute and gives me a reason to try them. I also got two samples with it which is a Pumpkin Detox Mask and a Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Such a really good deal and it justifies me spending it and I am giving myself a break even though I can’t buy any makeup for now.
Watson’s // Skincare
Next I went into Watson’s. I know these are probably a year old now. I wanted a a few new things for my skincare and some essentials I needed restocking of so it led me to this haul. First the boring everyday bits which are the cotton squares which are now almost gone. I do have a backup but now they are cotton rounds so I’m going to see what I like better and what takes me makeup off better. Last boring thing is cotton buds to fix my makeup mistakes. Speaking of makeup remover I bought three. The first is the Bifesta Sebum Cleansing which is now my second bottle. This stuff does amazing and I had to repurchase it. It does sting my eyes so when I saw they had an eye makeup remover version I picked it up as well. I used it for the first time after the haul and it does not sting my eyes and does such a good job so it was a worth while purchase. The next thing is the Biore Micellar Water and it is a great alternative if I want to switch things up. It’s pretty good at what it does and I do love the pink packaging. Last thing is I got this Belo Tinted Sunscreen free and this cute little blue bag as well. I don’t know why I got it free but any free product is good right. I know this will come in handy during the summer and I like that it doubles as sunscreen and it has coverage so you can just wear this and have that pretty sun kissed look. I’ll let you know how I get on with it after my beach vacation.
SM Department Store // Hair Care
Now we are going on to some hair care bits I picked up at the SM Department Store. I went to several so I just combined them together. First I picked up two dry shampoos. I picked up the green one first which is the Beauty Essentials Dry Shampoo. I then found the Tresemmė one and since I used it in the U.S. A long time ago it brought memories and I loved using that stuff so I bought it when I found it here. I still bought the green one to compare the two plus the green one is far much more cheaper than the Tresemmė one. I’ve been using it a lot more lately as it has been getting hotter and gives a nice boost and I do love the scent. I haven’t used the green one yet but once I run out I’ll be testing it. As for hair treatments I got this Keratin Cherry hair mask. My cousin and I were going to use it together but she went back abroad so I’ll have to use it by myself. I think I’m going to do it before I leave for my vacation to replenish my hair. The next hair treatment is this Argan Moroccan Oil which I heard a lot of good things about and how it can help the hair so hope I can see some results with this too. The last thing is a shampoo and I got the Human Heart Nature Apple Cleansing Shampoo which is my second bottle of this stuff and I love the scent and it does wonders with my hair. I use it once a week to get rid of all the product build up and it leaves it squeaky clean. I love their products so much I went to buy more as you can see below.
Human Heart Nature // Skin & Hair Care
See I told you I love their products. First is the conditioner and this is my third bottle. That’s how much I love the Human Heart Nature Natural Conditioner in Lush Vanilla. I still have the shampoo above but for some reason condition runs out faster leading me to buy another bottle. I love the scent and apples and vanilla smell so good together and I can’t help but smelling my hair after I use them. Since I love the hair care so much I decided to try their skincare so I got their Night Moisturizer but sadly the first time I used it I broke out on my chin and I never breakout so it must have been this. I might use it one more to test if it was this but maybe i just don’t get on with the ingredients. Next is the Mask and Scrub which I haven’t tried yet but I love that it is a two in one product so I can use it as a face mask or a face scrub. Last skincare I got from them is their Rosedew Mist and I heard so many good things about this one and in rose water mist in general so I still need to try it myself but I need to let my skin breathe after using the night time moisturizer. For now I’m impressed and is fun that I have new products to try and play with to get my skincare routine right.
Colourpop Cosmetics // Ultra Matte Lippies
Now back to makeup again. This was going to go into a separate post but I thought it was too late so I added it into the forgotten haul to not feel so bad. I’ve been using a lot of what I got already but still wanted to show you the shades I picked up, shipping and most important the custom tax. I thought it would be useful if you’re in the Philippines and wanted to get them shipped here. I decided to buy since there was a free international shipping promo so wait for that if you want to save even more. I ordered it on September 25 and it was fulfilled on September 29
according to the email and then shipped out on September 30 from Los
Angeles. It arrived here in the Philippines on October 11th and the
parcel came to my house on October 13th. So it took roughly 2 weeks to
get to me which isn’t too bad. I expected it to be around that time and
my dad gets packages in the same amount of time through the USPS so it
gave me a good estimate. The most important question I
had and maybe you’re considering ordering if you live in the Philippines as
well is the custom tax. Before I never experience the high custom tax
and then one time a parcel that was sent to me was a lot and more than
what was inside so it put me off. Luckily the custom tax I paid for this
was only 112php. This is not so bad and I’m okay paying that so if I do
order again then it won’t put me off and I can buy some other products
from them. My post office in my town knows me from all the packages and
parcels I get so it is now really convenient and they deliver it to me
now instead of me picking it up. So if you are afraid yourself to order
and take the plunge then fear not it isn’t really bad custom fee tax
unless your post office charges you a crazy lot but mine didn’t thank
goodness. I’ll let you know if it changes if I order again.
I got quite a lot of their matte shades because I heard there were some dupes again from Kylie’s line and I heard their from the same manufacture so I picked a few shades I fancied. I listed all of them below as well as the matching lip liner pencils and their shades. Then I got one Lumiere Lippie Stix to mix it up. I also bought two things from my blogger friend Shayne before I got my order in so I got Butterfly Beach highlighter which she recommended and Lumiere 2 as I forgot to include it in my order since I got the lip liner and lippie stix.

Gifts // Makeup Kit & Lip Gloss
I wanted to include this even though I didn’t buy it myself because it is special to me. My cousin made a surprise visit last month and she brought these two things back for me from Abu Dhabi. We always exchange beauty products when we get together and she didn’t know what I would want but she did pick up this cute Makeup Set that reminds me of the musical jewelry boxes I had as a child. It comes with face powder, eyeshadow, blushes and even lip colors all in one. I think it’s just so fun and now I have more to play with. Next she bought me this Peel Off Lip Gloss set which I have seen a lot of and think it’s a cool concept. I haven’t tried it yet but when I do I’ll let you know about them.
That was my makeup haul blog post. If you want to watch the haul you can here or above. I cut some of this out of the haul video as I didn’t want it to be too long so you will see the items I didn’t feature in that here.I loved filming this and it is so good getting back to Youtube again and doing a lot more blog posts for you. I am so happy that I got this haul up since it took a year before I actually got it up. Now you will probably see a few reviews of some of these and maybe in a favorites post. So that is it and hope you enjoyed this haul and got to see some more makeup products. Let me know if you’ve done any shopping lately and if you’ve stored away what you bought and found it a year later because that would make me feel better that I wasn’t the only one. Have a great weekend lovelies!
What would you do if you found a shopping bag a year later?
