Ballet Inspired Fashion Trend
Happy Thursday! I am in love with today’s outfit and cannot wait to tell you all about it. I’ve been so excited to post these and now I get to share them with you.
For my outfit I was inspired by ballet fashion and I love that it is so on trend right now. Being a ballerina myself wearing ballet inspired clothes outside of class makes my heart very happy. The top or technically bodysuit I’m wearing is very ballet like from the cut all the way down to it being just like a leotard. I am so tempted to where it to class one of these days. It has that wrap around cardigan sweaters we wear over leotards s it has this deep v-shape down the middle so without revealing too much I added this white tank top inside. I love the color and I’m just so in love with it at the moment as well. This is probably the main focus of this outfit which if you couldn’t guess the big white and poofy tulle skirt. I had this custom made and I bought the material myself so I knew exactly what I wanted it to be like. I added an extra layer with this one so as you can see it creates that full ballet tutu like skirt. I love that tulle skirts are so on trend at the moment as they make me feel like such a ballet princess when I wear them and even twirl in them.
The accessories with this outfit I went a little over with but I thought
this outfit deserved that. My bag and shoes are black to contrast the
color. I am in love with this bag at the moment and it is such a
versatile one to just take with you every where. The shoes are my peep
toe wedges since I wanted sort of a heel with this outfit to emphasize
the skirt and make my legs longer. I was trying to find a pair that
looked like pointe shoes to really complete the ballet trend theme but I
couldn’t find any in my size that lace up my leg or it would have been
so fun. I am not giving up though and when I do you will see it and hear
so much about it. The jewelry was really fun to style with this outfit.
I finally got to wear these pom pom drop earrings that I have been
saving for the right outfit. They aren’t a true match in color to the
top but close so I went with it anyway. I call them my Perrie earrings
because I was inspired by the Hair music video and loved her purple grey
ones and when I saw these I got them right away cause of that. Then I
paired it with a bold statement necklace to add to the v shaped
neckline. Of course the look isn’t complete without a matching bow so I
just have this in the marsala color as well to be the same as the
bodysuit.

That was my outfit which has been my favorite and I’m afraid I won’t be able to beat it this year. I’m already uping my outfits so what is 2017 going to look like. This was actually my last outfit I shot in 2016 though. I loved how they turned out but it just took me a while to seriously narrow down the pictures for this post. If you were curious why I named this outfit Swan Lake it is because it was a ballet inspired outfit and you can’t see but on the other side was this gorgeous lake. I was originally going to name this The Nutcracker because it was Christmas time and my favorite ballet but I think the name really makes sense now. I do think I have to go back and take pictures here but with the lake in the background next time. So that was one of my fave outfits. It is so close to the weekend and I have plans to go shoot more outfits especially the Valentines day ones I have coming up too! Hope you have a good day and can’t wait until the weekend.
