Spring in the 70’s
Happy Tuesday! I’ve caught the spring vibes lately and thought I’d start showcasing one of the looks I’ve styled. I’m not one to try different trends all the time but i do sometimes give in especially if I see it in store and it does have my aesthetic mixed in with it. I never thought I would try anything from the 70’s that’s so popular because I wasn’t much a fan and the bohemian thing wasn’t me. I changed my mind after finding a denim skirt, adding some lace and pops of color because I always have to have something bright in there. So here is the outfit I ended up putting together and quite proud of how it turned out.
What I Wore:
| top: SM Woman +, skirt: Merielles {similar}, shoes: Montego Bay Club {similar},
bag: Queen Street, bow: Forever 21, sunglasses: Forever21 {similar} |
For my outfit I based the whole thing of this jean skirt. I am embracing
the 70’s trend and seen it styled so many times that I finally give you
my take on it. Besides seeing it on a lot of blogs, I was in Forever 21
looking around and spotted a few denim skirts. I then remembered I
owned one and dug it out of the wardrobe. I was all about the denim
skirt before it was popular back in my teens but somehow it just got
lost until now. I like that mine is high waisted and pretty long. It can
be worn alone but I liked it being tucked in as well. The color is
perfect and I think I might like wearing it again. Since testing this one and liking it I must try one of those a line ones or the ones with the buttons running down it as it looks so cool.
The rest of the outfit I kept simple with a pop of color. I had these lovely pastel sunglasses to match my top and I brought my current favorite bag which I just wrote about here. I love how the color blends in but also is bright to stand out against the rest of the outfit. For shoes I went with my trusty pair of sandals. With accessories I went with a key pendant necklace I featured in my last haul video and a simple bracelet with matching earrings. My whole spring trendy outfit I styled.
I’ve been having a pretty off week. First it’s my SLR is acting up and still hasn’t been fixed due to no parts being available and my local service center shutting down without notice. I was so angry at them and if I left my camera there to be fixed then I would have lost it altogether. Good thing I got it back before that happened or I wouldn’t know what to do. The problem has totally messed up my mood and it get’s me put off blogging because my camera isn’t working. I remember writing about my old camera always giving me trouble and that’s why I bought a new one but it broke after about two months after I bought it (totally not my fault) and I had to get it serviced. I’m so not happy with the customer service and I need to think about investing in a whole other camera again. I can’t really do that right now because I don’t have the funds and only living off my blog wages. It’s like I threw away my money so I’m definitely not buying me a Nikon again. Also I don’t know if my birthday plans are going to go through so that’s put me down in the dumps. I hate to just be negative on here but it does bring your mood down if you start the week off bad. I don’t know what I am going to do right now and just a heads up that blogging might be a little slow as I can’t take pictures so I am using up the ones I have which are mostly outfits. I’m hoping I can fix this problem soon and get back to regular postings and being happy with my blog but right now it is discouraging me so much. Let me know if you ever had trouble with Nikon because I am having such a nightmare with them. Hope everyone else has a happy week.
What trend have you been scared to try but eventually tried it?

Lovely post!โฅ Maybe you want to follow each other?Let me know on my blog & I'll follow back right away. xWhat makes you beautiful
Love this outfit – you look gorgeous! It's a shame about the issues you are having with your camera. I have a Nikon and I have no trouble with the camera, but I can see why such an issue would put you off the brand. Hopefully you can get it sorted soon. Also I don't know if you already do this, but a way of earning more money from your blog could be to offer advertising slots to other blogs. So you sell them a little spot in your sidebar or whatever for an agreed length of time. I know Sprinkle of Glitter does something like this, and it might help you save up funds for a new camera a bit quicker.Hannah | Whoops It's Hannah
