Spring Things

Happy April and welcome to chapter three of my monthly favorites! It’s officially my birthday month so hopefully expect more on my blog and maybe my channel for all the fun things I hope to have planned for this month. So before all of that let’s head back to March and see what I love through that month. It’s another assortment and a lot of spring themed items as spring came and technically gone too quick as it is nearing summer for me now here in Manila. These are a few beauty favorites that stood out and as always quite a few lifestyle thrown in and maybe a fashion item as well. So let’s get on with part three of my favorites this year.

Beauty

Heroine Make Mineral BB Cream 02

As I said with the weather getting much warmer it is pain to be wearing so much makeup. This is about the time I reach for a BB cream. I always go back to this and it is light and blendable. I just put it on some of the areas I want coverage and that’s it. I have a full review on this here if you are curious about my full thoughts. A nice base to start off with and is in combination with some of my other favorites this month.

MUA Blusher in Bon Bon

Next is some color. After putting on my base I have to add a pop of color so it makes me look like I am not the same shade all over. Since spring is here I love bolder and brighter blushes that you can play with. it is such a nice shade and so blendable. I kind of want to do a spring blushes that I’ve been grabbing for. This one though has been lovely as it is matte and doesn’t shimmer which I have been quite fond of.

Covergirl Smokey Shadow Blast

For eyes lately I made a promise to myself to experiment with re eyeshadow looks and this for me was a start. I got this in a subscription box and I found it in my collection and when I swatched it the step one color was so pretty and a perfect base. It can be used alone as an all over lid color with both sides or I use the champagne color as a base and add different eyeshadow colors and they look so pretty. I might have to give it a proper review as it is such a good product.

Canmake Candy Wrap Lip

The last thing to complete my makeup look and my makeup favorites for the month is a lip gloss. I needed a coral colored lip to match an outfit at he first of the month and this was the closets color I had and I rediscovered how much I like it. It isn’t sticky and has enough pigment to use it alone or over another lipstick. There is a blog post I did on it and you can read that here. 

Lush D’Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap

If you’ve notice my latest outfit posts than I have been in skirts and dresses a lot more and they are the perfect item to cool me down and are comfortable. That means I am back to consistently shaving my legs. I ran out of my regular blades that have the lotion on them and everywhere I went they were out of stock so I was forced to use a disposable razor but hadn’t used one before and was scared I would cut myself all up and make things worse. I forgot I owned this I bought from Lush and it came in handy. Now I use it every time I need to and it turned out I actually love this stuff. I need to do a full review as I am almost out so when I do expect that.

Model’s Own Soda Pop Nail Polish

Last beauty favorite I truly loved in March was this pastel pink polish I don’t think I raved enough about. I was so excited to try it and wasn’t disappointing. It is such a perfect color for this time of year, lasts quite long and has great application. I actually just applied a fresh coat for my manicure this week because I love it that much. Fuller House // TV Show

My TV show fave of the month is Fuller House. I was so excited when it came out and I was a big fan of the original like many others. It was already over with when I was maybe 2 or 3 so I went on to watch the reruns but I watched every episode. It was a fun show and it made me want to watch the original again. As for the show I enjoyed it and it did remind me of the original but had it’s own factor. I heard mixed reviews but I liked it. I do love seeing all the characters back together and what they look like now. It has a nice story to it and I didn’t all watch it in one go but one or two since I was busy but it was a nice reward at the end f the day. I do like that they are remaking and bring shows back even thought some are against it. I watch Girls Meet World and think it’s a fun show so I knew I would in fact watch Fuller House. Also I can’t wait for Gilmore Girls and that I will have to watch in one go as it is one of my favorite TV series ever and want to know what happens. I’d love to know what you think with remaking all these classic shows.

Fifth Harmony – Work From Home // Music

From one girl group to another since last month I had a Little Mix song as a favorite and this month I have another. I found the music video recommended to me on my Youtube and being a fan of their music I watched it and love the song. It hasn’t reached the radio here yet or I haven’t heard it on there yet but I’m sure it will be played non-stop when it does. I love the tone and it makes me want to learn the dance and maybe take hip-hop or jazz class this month. I had two fave songs last month and I kind of do this month which I have a playlist on Spotify and I figured out you can see mine here. I do want to mention a few songs that came as runner ups this month which were Youth – Troye Sivan. I loved the album and named one of my outfit posts after the album here. Next is Like I Would – Zayn and it has been my jam and quite enjoy the album too. I don’t know what I’ll be liking next month but just wait and see.

Hot Air Balloon Necklace // Fashion Item

I don’t know why I haven’t featured a fashion item before but it’s never too late. I think my favorite accessory is this Hot Air Balloon Necklace and it is such a fun piece to add to any outfit. It is a great spring piece as well and a little fun and unique item to play with.

That’s it for my favorites this month. I’ve been quite consistent as this is my third one. I did a little beauty shopping so I know I will have new favorites next month too.
