Happy Monday! I’m starting this week off with my Valentine’s Day nails and to show them off to you. I also planned out this week to be surrounded around the theme of Valentine’s so this is the first on the list. I was inspired to do my nails and since my favorite colors are this month’s theme than I knew it would be a perfect time to do so. So I’ll just show you the simple design I came up with this year!

I’m not the best person at doing designs on my own nails but I do like to feel creative sometimes and experiment with different designs. I think Valentine’s nails would be one of my favorites and the easiest to come up with. This year I went with a mix match of things to add. I started out with a hot pink base and that was the main focus. Then on my pinky I just did white polka dots, the ring ringer has a sparkly and glitter tip, the middle finger has a big white heart which I a actually proud of and drew freehand which was a little hard but love how it turned out in the end, the pointer finger has a light pink tips and I forgot to show my thumb but it has white and pink stripes. It was pretty simple and love the end results. I used a mixture of polishes which you can see above to get all the colors.

The last time I painted my nails in a Valentine’s day theme was back in 2012 and now that was 3 years ago when I was obsessed with nail art and trying new designs. I wanted to get back into it and start practicing again. I do have that post if you’d like to see it here of my 2012 Valentine’s Day nails and my photography and nail art skills were horrible. I do like going back (even if it’s cringe worthy) to see how much my blog and myself has changed over time. I guess I was inspired by it a little again to do this look as it had the same concept as well.

That was my first Valentine’s day post for this week and I can’t wait to show you more of what I have planned. I really don’t celebrate it for that reason but I do love the holiday for different reasons like the colors. I love the pink and red together and a chance to wear hot pink and red
together is just magical for me, the second is the love all around and
all the pretty decorations there are especially the heart shaped
balloons make me swoon. Maybe one day I will celebrate the holiday for
it’s actual purpose but for right now I’m not affect by it but celebrate
it my own way. I see a lot of negative with Valentine’s day when you are single
and think it is bad and yeah sometimes I get bitter myself and think why
I don’t get that cheesy love but I do try and look at the bright side and find why I more reasons to like it. Maybe some of you do something on it that is fun and I’d love to know. I already know I don’t have anyone to spend it with and I’m alright with that as long as I have some food and Netflix and I’m all good.
