A few January Favorites

Happy Monday! Also happy 1st of February! So here is my cliche is it February already speech. Yes it is a new month and that means it is time to do one of my favorite posts to write which is my monthly favorites. I just did my year end special to round up my favorite products from 2015 and you can read it here if you missed it but this time I am talking about some of my favorites I accumulated since December since I missed that as well. Now here are some of the things I have been loving so far!

Beauty

OMG Nail Lacquer in Yellow Glitter

This has been a solid favorite since the beginning of December because I wanted to get all fancy and paint my nails in a pretty sparkly gold. It lasted all the way up to New Year and you could see a manicure I did with it here showing you my NYE nails. It’s just so nice to layer over a lot of colors and gives it that extra sparkle.

Pantene 3 Minute Miracle

I just did a first impression of this but I had to include it because it has become my regular conditioner. I ran out of my regular one I use and had no other choice but get this one out. When I wrote that post on it I thought I wouldn’t use it as much as I do now. It turned out being such a nice conditioner and did a great job because I straightened my hair for the first time in forever and kept it nice and smooth.

Maybelline Colorshow Lipstick in 201 Downtown Red

This was my lip color of December all the way through the first week of January. I love the festive red lip during the holidays and I thought I would throw it in my monthly favorites because all throughout my outfit posts this was what color I was wearing in them. I was really scared to try the very matte cherry red and didn’t want to go out and buy one but I did have this in my makeup bag waiting to be touched and used and finally I got it out. I did a review on these and I really like the formula plus it stayed on and wasn’t as much as a pain as I thought it would be. Nivea Original Lip Butter

Last beauty item I loved as this lip balm. After using red so much and it finally started to cool down here in Manila so that meant my lips was gone for and was peeling like crazy. I remembered I still had this lip balm I got when I bought my BDJ Planner at the fair so I brought it out and it really has helped. It is nice and moisturizing and has done wonders with the state of my lips. Also I love how cute the tin is. I’m intrigued to get more flavors now.

Netflix // TV Show

My TV show addiction has to go to Netflix in general. So at the beginning of the month they launched here in Asia which made all my free time go out the door. I’m so surprised I got so many blog posts done though and since I had the rest of my January scheduled I could sit back in the evenings and just watch TV. I watched Making a Murderer with my dad and we binge watched it together in two days. I wanted to see what the hype was and I like watching those kind of shows and my dad loves them so I knew it would be a great show to watch together. He was also helpful in explaining a few things when I didn’t understand the legal terms. I think it is so cool he remembers hearing about this case back then and that it was still going on. My thoughts on it was it was good and I got bored during some parts but that’s pretty normal for me. My dad loved it and now has discovered the addiction and wants to watch more shows like that. As for what we thought on the case well my dad thinks he is innocent and so is the boy but I am still 50/50. I would be a terrible judge as I hate picking sides. If you are into shows like that it’s pretty good and I’d recommend it. Also I started Jessica Jones the other day so I’ll see where that goes. Let me know some shows to watch (or don’t as I won’t get anything done) but please I’d love to know what to explore on there.

Daya – Hideaway // Music

My current song obsession is this. I was on the Spotify current top 100 playlist while I was writing blog posts and this song came up and I started bopping and got distracted while typing. I didn’t catch the name but a few days later I listened to the playlist again and finally found it. I love it and I just love the meaning behind it and is it bad that all the lyrics relate to me right now. I have not found a song that ever describes me. I come close to but they are never spot on but this one I just relate a 100% to. I looked up the artist and love her songs and I don’t know why she isn’t too known. So if you are looking for new songs then I am letting you know about the song and maybe you will like it too.

Those are all my favorites for the month.I’m glad to be back in doing these again. I was thinking if I could challenge myself to do every single month this year but I feel like I am just setting myself up for failure but I guess trying won’t hurt. I’d love to know what you’ve been loving and how the colder month has been treating you and what beauty products have solved the problem as I’m very curious.
