Happy Skin x Pond’s Shut Up & Kiss Me Lippie – Review & Swatches
Happy Blogmas Day 4! Today’s post is a lipstick review and going back through last year’s Blogmas I saw I did a lipstick review as well so I thought it would be appropriate to do it again. I don’t know if it is a coincidence or what but hey its fun and I love writing them. I was so excited to review this since I’ve been waiting to review it after trying it and wearing it when I am out and about and I know I don’t have many pictures with it yet but I wear it quite often and feel like it is the perfect color for any time of year.
Now let’s just go into the review.
This was one of the things that was in the Pond’s Exclusive Kit that I opened here and there was a post about the event here and of course I did a vlog of the day. A lot of links for one event but if you haven’t seen them than now is your chance. They announced that Pond’s and Happy Skin Cosmetics are collaborating! I mentioned it before in my other posts but this lippie was the main event of it all. For every P700 purchase of Pond’s products at Watson’s, you get a FREE mini lipstick from Happy Skin and it is a great deal because why not you get skincare products with a lip color. You can get this lippie for free when you purchase the Pond’s Flawless White No Makeup Look regimen. For me it is totally worth it and if I run out of my Pond’s products I can get the set and a second one of these too.
The color of this is quite unique. This shade is the nicest mid-tone pink that goes on smooth and matches the fairest to the most golden of skin tones. This is the kind of lip color anyone can wear! It compliments any kind of skin tone so I recommend you could try a color like this.
The shade as you see is No Makeup Look. It is a shade and only is available for Pond’s products only. It’s the Happy Skin lippie that will only be exclusively available to Pond’s as a FREE GIFT and is A LIMITED EDITION one at that! It’s totally perfect for the #NoMakeup look, too. I am a sucker for limited edition things and trying new things and getting a good deal so that’s what I love.
The packaging is amazing. I just love it and it is a metallic silver. It’s actually a mini version of their other lippies in their collection so it makes it easier to lug around with you even inside the smallest makeup kits! It can twist up and I have tried it out and it really is not that bad. What I mean is I have other lippie stick that are not very good that break as soon as I twist it up. This one however seems fine and doesn’t feel like the product will fall off if I twist it up.
The swatches of it now. It is so pretty and it is a matte pink as I said about the color. As I said it looks good on multiple skin tones and you can tell how nice it looks. It doesn’t smear or transfer which is great. It doesn’t stick to any dry patches and it goes on smooth which some lipsticks are not as great to apply like this one.
I think this will be my favorite lippie and it passes all my standards for a lipstick. It is small but a perfect size to have. The color is great and applies so well and lasts for so long. I was really surprised at the longevity of it and it doesn’t attract dryness even if it is matte. I think it is the perfect matte as well because it does seem too dry and looks so attached to the lips but it has this sheen to it. Overall I’m loving this and give it such a high rating and had to rave about this.
My rating is: ♥♥♥♥♡
I love everything about this lipstick and think I need to pick up more and I know the holiday collection is out so I need to get some of them as this has convinced me. The only thing with this is the color is limited edition so if you want this than you have to get 700php of Pond’s products if you want this lippie. Other than that small detail I love absolutely everything about this and think it is going to be my all time favorite lippie no matter what season.
That was my review of the first Happy Skin product. I have a few more products to try out and then review them as well. I love supporting local Philippine brands and this is my favorite so far I tried but I hear there are more so I need to be getting on with that.So this is it for today’s blogmas post and hope you liked this lipstick review as much as I did. I know it is my fave lip color right now besides a red for the festive time of course. Only 21 days!
What is your perfect no makeup lipstick shade?
