Outfit Planning Inspiration – Style Diary
Happy Friday! I was planning on getting back into outfit pictures but just as I was getting back into it a storm decides to hit the Philippines and it’s been rainy and gloomy for the past week. I know I could have done it despite the weather conditions but it just isn’t the same to me. Instead of that I thought I would show you a few outfits I planned out that I will shoot next time it becomes sunny. Then I thought to show you some inspiration in a sort of style diary. Enough about that let me show you why I choose my outfits and how I styled them.
Outfit 1 // Fun Girly Day Out
A baby doll shift dress.
For the first outfit I felt like I need to bring this dress/top out more. I took it as a challenge to try and style this to convince me to wear it more often but I don’t wear it as much as I’d like because it is a tad bit large on me but I do like this and hope to get more wear. To style this shift dress I just left it simple for like a day out with friends or something fun like that. I just paired it with some tan wedges and I decided to add the navy stripes with the coral and the rose print up top. Lastly, for accessories I decided to keep it simple and added this hot air balloon necklace to tie in all the colors and a matching coral bow that is the exact color which surprised me and if you put them side by side it’s like the material of the two came from the exact same piece. I’m actually excited to wear this one now and hoping I go to this party I was invited to and wear this. There goes me spending hours deciding what to wear and I should do this more often to lessen my time in the mornings sitting in front of my closet staring blankly.
Outfit 2 // Simple and Casual Date Night
A peplum with floral print pants.
The second look I planned is something for maybe a casual date night which is what I pictured in my head. I started with my floral print leggings which if I could wear forever I would and paired that with a creamy white peplum top. It is just simple and comfy but it’s an outfit that just makes you feels amazing and I know everyone has that kind of outfit. To accessorize I went with a pearl theme and paired a few pearl bracelets stacked together with some dangling pearl earrings. I wanted to pair this with some black edges for a really dressed up look but sadly I over used mine and the heel broke so I need to pick up new ones but that’s what I would have went for but in the meantime I just used some black shiny ballet flats to substitute for a more casual look for day time. And for my bag just my everyday black one I pretty much take with me everywhere unless I switch to a smaller. Don’t forget the bow and I just added a white one to keep it a more monochrome look.
Outfit 3 // Classy and Elegant Wedding Guest
A lace crop top with a black midi skirt.
As for the last outfit I saved the best for last as it is my super glam and elegant outfit. I really love this and really need to find a dressed up occasion to wear this too. Now to start with I paired a lace crop top that I have been loving and i like that it can be dressed down for a casual look or a very glammed up dressy look. Then a black midi skirt and this is the first one I bought and I’ve been wanting one and finally found one. It is perfect and I can’t wait to twirl around in it. Moving on to the accessories I made more of an effort in this one. First off I made sort a theme and went with gold and diamonds. My famous bow chain necklace and a diamond bracelet to add the details tie in with the peep toe pumps. Then with the bag I matched the gold hardware with the jewelery. Of course a matching pink bow and a pop of color with a hot pink bracelet to layer with. For me I really liked how I styled this one and it’s just such a fancy look.
Those were my outfit planning ideas and I really liked this and might do it again. I will put full outfit details once I shoot the outfits. Let me know if you liked this and want to see more and I feel like I really used my fashion styling and put it to the test again like we did in class. I hope you liked this and I really enjoyed putting it together for both me and you.
What was your favorite outfit of the three?
