Canmake Body Cream in Pink Grapefruit – Review & Currently Loving

Happy Monday! Today’s beauty review is a body cream I’ve been currently loving. I’m not a massive fan of putting lotions, body creams or body butters on regularly because I feel like they make me sticky and with the humidity here it doesn’t go well. So I try to only apply them at night or days when I know I won’t be leaving the house. I have one other body product I swear by and that’s The Body Shop Strawberry Body Butter and I did a currently loving on that here if you’d like to take a look. This definitely comes at a close second and I really enjoy using this stuff. Now here are my thoughts on why I’ve been loving this body cream.

I actually got this as a prize when I went to my first BDJ Beauty Social last March 2014 you can read about that here. I didn’t know much about Canmake at the time but the booth and packaging was all so cute so that passed for me. This is the second product I’ve tried from them being the first a lip gloss I posted about here if you wanted to read about that. Now I’m addicted and want to try so much more from them and I can’t tell you enough how pretty every single one of their packaging is. I’ll be saying more about that in a minute so get ready.

It’s easier to carry around and I just toss it into my dance bag because that’s when I feel I need it the most. It’s so much more compact and not a huge tub to take everywhere. It is hot pink which the packaging is amazing and I really like it a lot. Also I can only read the front which is good or else I wouldn’t know what in the world this was but unfortunately the back isn’t in English so I don’t know what it says or the ingredients which is the only downside I feel like.

The scent on this is very strong and not in a bad way but some lotions and body creams just have that light scent but this you can really get a whiff of and the scent lingers and stays pretty strong for hours. I thought this would be a big problem for me at first because of such a powerful scent because my nose is so sensitive and cannot handle smelling anything like that for long or I’ll be sneezing for five minutes straight and will get the sniffles all day after that. I don’t know why my nose is like that but it may be due to the surgery I had when I was little. It’s such a problem that I really need to be selective of the scents I can use and what perfumes or any kind of product like that I can be around. I hate being so sensitive to scents and wish I can enjoy sniffing wonderful things but sadly I sometimes I have to miss out.

This isn’t too bad and at first I did get my sneezing attack but I’ve learned to apply it lightly and the scent doesn’t bother me as much anymore. Enough about my nose problem the actually scent of the product and like it says is a pink grapefruit flavor. Now I’ve smelt grapefruit before but don’t remember what the real one smells like since I don’t really eat that fruit and haven’t since I was a small child but it does smell nice. It is sweet but has this tangy flavor to it as well. It’s fruity and what you imagine a fruit basket would smell like. I’m kind of a fan of the fruity smells and I really love sweet candy scents most but I really like this one as well. It isn’t too thick and not oily whatsoever.It leaves my skin so soft and I love how it feel after on my skin and leaves it amazing. I rub it on my skin before dance class and after some of my showers.

Overall I really love this and I didn’t know how much I could like a body lotion or cream. Everything was nice and I really liked the product all together and I didn’t mind the scent. It is so pretty and I just love the hot pink tube. I hoped you liked this review and my currently loving product at the moment. I really want to try more of their products but in the meantime this is a definite repurchase.
