FXF Travels :: Northern Getaway – Travel Diary {Day 3 & 4}
San Felipe, Zambales & San Fernando, Pampanga
Happy Monday! Can you believe it is already March? For me it is almost the beginning of summer which means I’m hoping to do more traveling especially to the beach and lounging by the pool. But today I’m going to show you the second part of my Travel Diary which are days 3 and 4 of my Northern Getaway. It was jam packed with a lot of cool sites and I enjoyed taking these pictures.
So here is the photo diary of day 3 and 4 of my Northern Getaway!
Day 3
This day consisted of a road trip to Zambales which was about 4 hours away from where we were staying. That meant that we had to get up at 5am so we could get there early to explore and meet up with my dad’s friends for a day trip. On our way we stopped by Subic and Olongopo which my dad went to a long time ago when h was in the Navy. We stopped to take pictures of the beautiful beaches and as you can see the roads up there were high and twist and turns all the way up. When we finally got to where we were going my dad spent time with his friends while I read a book in the car and just relaxed after such a long trip. My dad then decided to go down to see the beach area as they said the beaches there were amazing and so pretty. I got to take pictures and that’s what I was looking forward to and getting my feet in the sand. It was a beautiful day with no clouds in the sky and so pretty. We only spent half the day there because we needed to make it back. So while we were traveling back we stopped on the side of the road at a fruit stand to buy some mangoes and some other fruits and we got it so cheap and so many bags full. A funny thing that happened on our trip was we pulled into a over look point to see a beautiful cliff overlooking a beach. We got out to take pictures but a guy came up and say we weren’t allowed to but we end up sneaking some before they kicked us out and they wanted us to delete the pictures but we didn’t (don’t tell them but I didn’t add them in.) It was just something I wanted to include to look back and laugh at. I ended up going to sleep half way home and it was nice because I slept until we got home. After we got home around 3 we just had a relaxing day and finished it off with dinner and going to bed.
Day 4
Now for day 4 we actually took it easy. We took the morning off and I got to sleep in after 3 days of non-stop activities. We needed it and I was glad we did pretty much nothing the first half of the day. S for the most exciting part was going to a night carnival behind a mall in the city. It was called Sky Ranch and we were going to go last December but it didn’t happen so that day was perfect. I haven’t been to a carnival in a long time so it was fun. We went on some rides, got to eat some carnival food and watching a little toddler seeing a carnival for the first time was so cute. He just loved running around and seeing the colors and pointing at the rides and running up to the carousel was just so fun to watch and I think he enjoyed it more than us. That was all we did and went home to get some proper dinner. I liked our chill carnival day.
That was the end of day 3 and 4 and was really fun and exciting. I hope you enjoyed this photo diary and liked some of these snapshots of the trip. I had a fun time with my family and my next one is coming up next week and it will be split up in 2 parts because they are so fun and my favorite part of the trips.
