Collection Colour Match Foundation in 4 Natural – Review & Swatches
Hi Everyone! Today I’m happy to bring you a beauty review of my favorite foundation and not just any foundation but my holy grail foundation! I’ve read countless blog posts saying they found their holy grail foundation and I got to the point where I became jealous and thought I would never find mine. Well it happened and I found it in the Collection Colour Match Foundation. Right now this is my HG foundation and I’m glad I discovered it after searching high and low.
A little back story before the review. To start off with I have very finicky skin. I never thought I was like his until I started makeup class and needed a good foundation. I started off with MAC and it totally didn’t work on me and started peeling off, flaking, stuck to dry patches and didn’t make me look good. I never knew I had a problem and I thought it was the brand until I went out and started exploring other foundations. I tried Chanel, Nars, Maybelline, Revlon and so many more from high end to drugstore nothing seemed to work on me and I was getting so disappointed and sad. No matter what I did or what I tried I was always unhappy with the results. My makeup teacher couldn’t help nor neither the girls at the makeup counter. I thought I was a helpless cause. Until one day (see they story does get better) I pull out this foundation from my makeup collection I bought for a graduation photo shoot. I heard so many great things from this brand and it was affordable so I picked it in a shade I just guessed would suite me. Never would I have thought it would actually work on me. To my surprise it actually solved my problem and I began using it even more until I fell in love with it.
I got the shade Natural 4. I knew in the bottle this was close and at the time the counter didn’t have any testers so I just based my decision on the bottle. When I got home and swatched it I was a little disappointed that it might be too orange and dark for me. I tried it on my wrist so I really thought it would not suite me at all. One day I had no choice and used it for the first time. It matched perfectly and seamlessly blend in all the way. I know it says it matches to your skin tone but I wasn’t really believing it until I applied it. It was a perfect match and with the right amount of blending it smoothed across my whole face.
The packaging is super nice for a drugstore I feel. It is a glass bottle which is not that heavy. It has a plastic pump and lid that is a hot pink color which right there pushes e to like it even more. I feel like the lid is a little too plastic though but it is holding up quite well.
It clearly does not match my wrist and does not doesn’t rally blend well but on my face it is perfect. I do use a primer and a powder afterwards though. I put it through the test and what I need in a foundation. I used this for about a month every other day or so and applied it like I always do. I use a foundation brush that came in my brush kit. It blends well and I use a stippling brush in a circular motion to really buff it in and that’s what I’ve found works really well. I apply my powder and go out with it on. The weather in the Philippines is very humid and being a tropical country sometimes it can rain out of nowhere as well. It with stood that though which left me impressed. I have oily skin though so I expected to melt off or get really oily on me but it was quite minimal and a touch of powder about 6 hours later int rally that bad. I don’t mind that though and some might think of it as a negative but with the circumstances given I’m thinking its pretty good and passes my standards.
Here is an example of me wearing the foundation. This was an outtake for my girly pink cupcake outfit and my where I went series. This is the only photo I had of my foundation with no filter, no editing and good lighting. You can see how it applied and the finish it leaves on my skin. This was about 4 hours after applied it and no touch ups since then. The photo doesn’t look shiny and I feel like it is still picture perfect after a few hours wear. So at least I know it photographs well and doesn’t reflect off of anything which is another plus.
Overall Experience
This is a fantastic foundation and it does everything I want it to do in a foundation. It gives me a nice flawless finish and coves anything I want covering up without looking cakey or flaky. It is long lasting, doesn’t show shine and the bottle is pretty good. It was very reasonable and I don’t have to break the bank for buying a backup bottle. It is a definite repurchase and I recommend it if you’re thinking of picking up this foundation.

Because right now it is the most perfect foundation for me. This is the first time I am reviewing a product that has a perfect rating so this is a big deal because I grade fairly and if I find one thing wrong with it I always minus half a heart and this made it through the tests.
Hope you enjoyed my first foundation review and found this helpful or interesting. I’m really glad I found my HG foundation and got to do a blog post myself of telling you how much I love it.

Isn't it just the best feeling when you finally find a foundation that works for you?
