December Favorites 2014
I’m doing my December monthly favorites and I know it is a tad bit late but I didn’t have my charger for my camera and had no way to upload any pictures I previously took to my computer because the battery was dying. So I’m here now though and I have my charger so everything is all well with the world. I actually took this batch of photos on vacation with me so my pretty backdrop and props were not with me and my lighting wasn’t with me either so I was stuck with this but I still wanted to do a post while I was away because I had nothing to do that day and had all these out so it was the perfect opportunity.
Aussie 3 Minute Miracle
I’ve been loving this again and it really makes a difference with my hair. I took this with me and I didn’t put it in a container or anything because it comes in such a handy tube. I love how thick it is and leaves my hair extra soft and I use it as a daily conditioner sometimes more than a deep conditioning mask. I think the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle has done good for me and can take away some of my frizz and makes it easier to comb and style so that’s great. I am definitely loving this and enjoy how much it leaves my hair feeling.
Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo
This is the first of two Lush products that were my favorites this month. I went a little crazy at Lush during the sales and got a few things last month. I’ve been wanting to try this dry shampoo as I’ve heard it dries up excess oil really good but is a tad bit messy which I have now discovered. I did find a few tricks though to solve that so I’m quite happy with it. The Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo works pretty well even with my dark hair because maybe I don’t add too much and just the right amount. I might do a full review on this though because I have a lot to say about this but for right now it is love.
Lush Snow Fairy
Who doesn’t have this in their favorites for December? I have always loved this body wash when it comes out during the holidays and get sad when it goes away for the year but I then get happy again when it comes back and reminds me an aunt coming to your house every holiday season to grant you joy. The Lush Snow Fairy is such a wonderful scent and I love the subtle glitter it leaves and it may annoy some but I feel like a fairy after I use it and probably that’s where the name comes from. I have the old label one as my store didn’t have the new ones for some reason but maybe next year I an get the pretty pink label. Overall I love it and will feel very sad when this runs out and I didn’t stock up this year.
Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Shampoo
This was the shampoo I took with me on holidays as I didn’t have any other one to take with me but I did transfer it to a smaller bottle later on. I forgot how much I liked it and after not using it for a while I forget how good a product is. I don’t have the conditioner anymore but I lied it as well. The Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Shampoo gives me a nice clean feeling leaving my hair soft and manageable so that is a good plus for me. I love the Herbal Essence range and but I do love this one the most.
Victoria Secret Sweet Temptation Body Spray
I have this body spray as it was a gift from my cousin and it was the only one I had at the time and it slowly became a favorite of mine throughout the month. I at first wasn’t a fan but slowly appreciated it and began liking it the more I used it. The Victoria Secret Sweet Temptation Body Spray is a lovely sweet scent and those are my favorite kind of scents and it might not be perfect for the season I still enjoyed it. I think I might be liking the Victoria Secret scent and might see what else they have. And it was nice for my cousin seeing the body spray he brought back for me and I actually use it.
Garnier Whitening Oil Control Scrub
I don’t know how this ended up in my favorites but my cousin probably added this to the pile and I didn’t see and me being stupid I didn’t notice and added it into this and the wrong batch as this was supposed to go into another post but I will just have to deal with my mistakes. The Garnier Whitening Oil Control Scrub is not really a favorite but it did work a tad bit but just didn’t do anything for my skin. Sorry I made a mistake and added this.
China Glaze Nail Polishes
This is the prettiest red nail polish I have and perfect for the holidays but also it reminds me sort of like Dorothy’s red glitter shoes to me and it makes me happy seeing these on my nails. The China Glaze – Ring in the Red has been such a fun red and definitely I love it. It is also very versatile and I can use it for Valentines as well as Ive used it before for that. It has been on my nails for a while this month so a definite fave.
Besides the red color I have been loving adding this on top or as an accent nail to give it some glitter and bling and reminds me so much of Christmas lights. The China Glaze -Twinkle Lights has been my favorite glitter polish and I love it around this time of year and is probably always going to be applied around the holidays. I hope this is still available because I would love another bottle but I think it is only a Christmas collection so I might only have this for 1 more year I am hoping it will last that long.
Ive been using this top coat with the polishes this month as I like it and it does work I just wish it dried a little bit quicker but I’m willing to deal at the moment because I paint my nails when I want to relax and hang out. The China Glaze – Non-Yellowing Top Coat does actually work and it doesn’t become yellow because China Glaze polishes in darker colors have a tendency to get a little yellow around my tips so using this takes that away.
Those are all my favorites for December! I hope you found a new product or some of these are something you already love yourself. I’m still debating to do a favorites post and round up of products I loved in 2014 but I am still unsure of that. I hope you enjoyed his beauty post for today.
