Unboxing | June BDJ Box x Benefit Exclusive

I am so excited to be posting about my first ever BDJ Box. This is my first month receiving my box even though I paid for it a while back but because of how in demand these boxes are you have to wait first come first serve and I’m glad I did and got lucky because it was a Benefit exclusive box! I really wanted the March box because it was a Benefit exclusive also and that was pretty much what sold me as well as the unboxing of other bloggers so I of course had to sign up to see what all the fuss was about. As soon as I saw the packaging was Benefit I was ecstatic and couldn’t wait to open it but sadly I had stuff to do that day so it had to wait until I got home. Now let’s see what is inside because I know I would be curious.

So I lifted the sleeve to reveal the actually box which is a pretty color scheme. I like that they put a sleeve to have their original box but also have these unique sleeves every month to celebrate what’s inside if it is a certain theme or something.

Upon opening the lip I am greeted with the card that has all the information on it. I like reading the welcome message first and then opening to see what’s inside. I usually look after to connect the products on the card. I don’t know why but I like seeing what I got before reading about it.

When opening the brochure you are greeted with the products that are in this month’s box and the prices for the full size ones if I ever want to buy one. I read everything on the card after I’ve looked inside because I really like knowing the product before trying it.

A cute little thing that I’ve seen on other blogs is that the box comes with stickers that have different messages to inspire you which is nice and I love they have a contest with it which I have to try and do and isn’t it a lovely message. I think that is a unique idea and I have never seen a box who does that so that is a nice touch they added whoever came up with it.

Now for the exciting part which is the unveiling. I unwrapped the nicely covered tissue paper to revel all the Benefit goodies. My initial reaction was happy but I was kind of hoping for a full size of something. I mean the box was full of samples to a brand I’ve been wanting to try for months and months now but I thought it would have a big surprise as well inside. I can’t complain though since the prices are a bit pricey and I didn’t pay as much for this. I did like how it was packaged and I love the curly ribbons but I don’t know why. To me, they make it more special and it seems like a present maybe I will get tired of them if I have a lot but right now I’m amused and think they are a fun thing.

Benetint

This original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips and cheeks that lasts for hours. Wear it under your favorite lipstick or lip gloss to amp up the staying power of your lip color, and under a highlighter on cheeks for a healthy, dewy glow. The first product was the original Benetint which I wanted to try after hearing so many people rave about it. I also never had used a stain or a lip and cheek stain so this was something new I can experiment with and the color is just so pretty. I really liked the story behind this tint and how it got famous which I learned through a Benefit talk I attended. It is a god size to try out and very handy to throw in the makeup bag if I end up liking it.

Lollitint

This candy-orchid tint treats lips and cheeks to a “pop” of dreamy sweetness. For a natural, rosy glow, just brush three strokes on the apple of your cheek and blend quickly with your fingertips. The next tint which is Lollitint was a product I have seen a lot lately since it just launched and a lot of bloggers I follow have been reviewing it so I’m glad I get to see the fuss as well. It is such a pretty color and I think I am going to try it before the other one as this is more of my color. I love the packaging and the color of this nd again look how cute and tiny it is.

Big Easy in 03 Light / Medium

The Big Easy was something I have been debating on getting as I like BB creams and I’m glad Benefit came out with this one as it is something I was looking for. It has so many shades to chose from and the packaging is so cute. I got the shade light/medium which I feel is perfect for me and plus it is oil-free which I need and try and find products that don’t have any oil as I am oily enough and don’t want to add to that. I’m excited to try this and see how well it does for me.

Porefessional PRO Balm

The Porefessional is something I have heard so many things about and it is now my turn to see how well it actually is. I haven’t used a primer yet and I’m glad this is the first as it is something I think I could use. I even heard I could use it alone or with a little bit of powder and it works so I hope it lives up. I really want to try and see how it works for me!

This foundation looked like it was perfect for my skin tone and I was in the market to trying another foundation. I only have two right now which is why I wanted to explore and this is perfect to try first so when I use it and it matches then I can buy a full size. I want to see what I like better the Big Easy or this because I am lazy sometimes with my makeup and want to be quick so I want to see what I will be liking more and the coverage of both. I hope to do a comparison post in the future to see the differences.

Fake Up Concealer in 02 Medium

I always wanted to try a Benefit concealer after seeing so many reviews saying it gets rid of dark circles and doesn’t crease which I need so this is perfect for me. The packaging is so cute as well and even the sample size is in the cute packaging and perfect for travel size. This again is the right color and I hope to see it do something for my dark circles as it suggests. I think this is the most exciting thing i want to try because I like finding new concealers.

I don’t know how long I’ve been wanting to try this mascara but now I finally can! I have good lashes already but I want to see them with this as I have seen it does wonders to others. I have fallen in love with mascara again now that I have found a good makeup remover and I get to try this. The brush looks good and the formula seems okay so I can’t wait to see how this helps me and what it does to my lashes. This and the concealer is the most exciting for me and I don’t know why but I have been focusing more on my eyes than usually which is a transition for me. I will let you know my thoughts as soon as I try it on!

The last thing that came in the box was two vouchers that I will be using I hope and the Benefit Spring 2014 catalog which I already browsed through and made a mental wish list of what I want to get as well as the ones I already got. I really love the design of it and think it is really cute but the packaging is always so what do I expect. I liked that they included it and I like my reading material.

So this everything I received in my June BDJ box and I am quite impressed with my first box! I think I will keep subscribing and see how this goes because I have loved my Glamourbox so I thought it was time to branch out and see the market a little more. I do think they could have added one full size item to make the box a real success but I understand it might not be a possibility now but maybe in the near future and maybe another Benefit box with different samples to really try it out because this is the second one and it looks impressive. Other than that I think this was a great way to try Benefit and since it is my first time to both BDJ Box and Benefit I’m glad I get to lose my Benefit virginity because of you. I’m really excited to try these and dip my toes in some more products in the future.

I hope to do the seven day challenge that was on the back of the card starting Monday but I’m still unsure what to do it on and what to choose first so if you’d like me to do a first impression which I’ve always wanted to do let me know. I will be reviewing all my favorites as soon as I try and test each one for a while so get ready for some Benefit reviews coming here on my blog. I would also like to know what Benefit product is your favorite and if it is one that I received or another one that I need to try immediately. I’d love to know since I’m new to trying this brand.
