A Fresh Start

I decided have a massive change to my blog and I am so happy with it. I have been planning this for a while and I wanted to do this because I was sort of in a rut and unmotivated to do anything for my blog but I loved it so much that I didn’t want to totally give it up so I started #fxfrevamp. This where I basically just wanted to start fresh and revamp everything about fashionxfairytale hence the name #fxfrevamp and I just wanted it to have the hashtag to be cool .

First was the layout. I was never happy with my layouts for a long period of time. I mean I loved each one but got tired of them easily I guess. Ever since I started blogging I usually designed my own blog layouts except the last two I had which one I bought from Wonder Forest Cyber Monday sale which was the Penelope one. I loved it and if I want a change I can totally just put it back on if I wanted to. I also won another pre-made template from Serena at Pretty Wild Things and the theme was Lace it Up which I loved and the simple grey theme of it which I never had one before. As for my current layout I designed myself from scratch and I have been working on it for quite a while and probably for almost a month now. I designed a tumblr theme like this and wanted it for my blog so it took a long process. I actually drew it on paper then did a sample on illustrator and finally started coding it and finally I got this. I’m so proud of it and I can’t believe that I did that. I love the color and I might go for a different color scheme if I get tired but I hope not because it is so pretty and took so much hard work that I better stick with it for a while. 

I changed the sidebar and tabs and also updated the pages info and all that. It needed an update so the contact tab is all new, the about me tab is rewritten and you can get to know me a little bit more on there and then I added a tab where I show my love to my daily reads of blogs I find myself reading a lot. The sidebar is pretty much the same but it is changed up a little like the instagram sideshow, the sections and also I’m might be adding to it here or there.

Another change that was made was I wanted to change up the content and venture into more fashion posts like outfits and inspiration of clothes I have for plus size girls which I hope I can. For beauty posts I have a lot of beauty products I love and I just want to do reviews and other stuff with them. I have taken so many photographs and hope to be getting more written and scheduling them in advance and make sure they actually go up on time because I’ve noticed in the past that they haven’t.

Speaking of photography I hope you are liking it better now. I do still have the same camera but I changed up my setup got better and brighter lighting if needed and also learned how to edit on Photoshop. I can’t believe the difference Photoshop does for my photos and I am still earning more tips and tricks but I think it is going great so far. I hope you can tell the difference because I can a little and I am a perfectionist and need everything to be exactly to my standards and I think I have done better with it but my readers are the judges.

I have a schedule now that I hope to stick to which I hope will be Tuesday, Thursday and Friday but sometimes on the weekends too. I might even throw a post when I have an extra one in on some days because who wouldn’t want that. I am going to try this for a month but maybe change it up if I get busy again with dance so it might not be so permanent but a schedule is what I was trying to aim for. 

That’s pretty much all I have and it feels so good getting it done and officially announcing that I was finished with #fxfrevamp on twitter and with my family has been a relief. Relaunching your site is really difficult but I’m glad I made it through and pushed harder to get it where it is today. I hope you stick around for upcoming posts I will be putting out and following me on my social medias. It was like a Spring clean for my blog and I love that feeling.
