Movie Date | What I Wore

Popcorn please

Happy Wednesday! Today's outfit is what I wore to the movies over the weekend. Since I just went to the mall show and got a ticket from there I could watch any time after that. I finally got a chance and I went with something casual and comfy because who doesn't want to watch a movie in uncomfortable clothing. So here is my outfit for a movie date I went on.

For my outfit as I said I went the comfy route so I brought out my fashion blogger tee again. It is so soft and light and easy to move in so I had to wear it. This time I paired it with a white cardigan because I get chilly inside the theater and this was a nice cover up. i was going to wear leggings with this look to be extra comfy but I wore leggings with this top last time so I went with skinny jeans which would seem far from comfortable but these ones are and I didn't mind them. For shoes my grey ballet flats are back and I think I need to get a new pair as I am wearing these ones to death. The accessories I kept it simple since I didn't really need any but I did throw on a heart stone pendent necklace and a lilac bow to match the colors of the shirt. My bag is my Juicy Couture because it was all I could find big enough to put some snacks and water in. It did it's purpose though and it brought more color to the outfit.

That was my movie going outfit. If you are curious as to what I watched it was called This Time. My aunt really wanted to see it and she had no one to go with so I volunteered. They are the same actors in my favorite TV show so I knew I would like it a lot too. It was a great summer movie and made me crave ice cream cones. If you watch the movie you may know why. I forgot to mention it is a local Philippine movie as well if you wondered. Also if the pictures in these seem a little off it is because I am still hurt from my hip injury and I can't stand on my left foot so it may look lie I'm leaned over. I wanted to take these pictures because I still feel like it is my job to do outfit pictures even if I m in pain. I'm stil recovering and each day I can stand on it a little more so if any future outfit posts I may seem leaned to one side you know why now. I hope it isn't too bad but I made sure to pick the best ones but hopefully I can continue taking them and get better. Let me know also what is the last movie you saw in the cinema.

Happy Skin Eye Love View Pencil & Marker Eyebrow Duo | Review & Swatches

Brow Goals

Happy Monday! Let's start the week off with brows on fleek because I am reviewing my all time favorite brow product at the moment. I wasn't much of a brow person before because I didn't really get the concept or really knew how to do it. I recently got my brows done at Benefit and it was free since it ws my birthday so an even bigger plus. I got them shaped and now when I tried to fill them in and try experimenting on doing them I think I have figured it out. So here is what I think of the eyebrow duo.

| Happy Skin Eye Love View Eyebrow Duo // 899php - $19.00 |

Description from website (here): Fall in love with Happy Skin Eye Love View Pencil & Marker Eyebrow Duo as it makes you feel pretty, professional, and poised. This double-ended wonder will frame your face with ace-shaped brows. It provides the best of both worlds: an eyebrow pencil tip and a liquid marker tip. This beauty must-have makes grooming your eyebrows a breeze. With this product, eyebrows look natural—never fake or overdrawn. The fine-tip micro-fibre brush allows you to achieve feathery strokes, professionally mimicking real brow strands. The auto-pencil tip lends brows the most natural hue. Channel the pros with easy-peasy application! Smudge-proof and water-resistant, it gives you perfect eyebrows for 24 hours.

It comes in one shade called chic brown. I think the color matches me quite well and it doesn't seem too light nor too dark. I think it does the right amount of color for me and I don't have to worry if I over did it or not. I have fairly dark brows and me being brunette I like them a medium to dark brown color. I also have pretty thick brows and they grow back so fast and I have my dad to blame for the bushy eyebrows. I do have a high pain tolerance with plucking and waxing which is weird though because I have such low pain tolerance for other things. I used to do my own eyebrows and plucked the hairs here and there but now I just have them done professionally. I get mine done at Benefit Brow Bar and if you want a review I'd love to do one because that's where I have been going to.

The packaging is quite simple. It comes in this cute box and I just love the design. For the product itself it has two sides since it is a duo (more on that later) and it is just a simple black pen but the label on it is printed on in gold. It isn't too big but it is the size of a en with the cap on it. I find it fits okay in my makeup bag but if you have a narrow one then I think it will be too long.

The first side is the pencil side. It retracts up and down and has a tiny pointed tip that is easy to just lightly fill in the brows and imitate little hairs through the brows. It comes out quite light but not too light which combines with my brow color which blends them all together.

The other side which is the marker side is to draw on the brows. I don't really use this side since they are currently shaped how I want them too but if I had to this will be perfect. Honestly I thought it was an eyeliner at first but don't be fooled it is for the brows. I never tried it to fill them in because I think it is meant for doing lines instead. It doesn't retract up like the pencil either so it just has the cap to protect it.

For the swatches here is both of them together. The pencil was really hard to swatch and at first I thought it was dried out and I ruined it or something but it isn't really meant to be on your wrist. When I applied it to my brows the pigmentation came out and it was much smoother application so when you swatch it don't be alarmed as it isn't for that area. It seems much darker swatched because I ran it back and forth a few times to see the color so if you want your brows that dark go ahead but I only do it lightly to match and blend in with my already dark eyebrows. The marker is much lighter and was easier to swatch on my wrist. It is like a honey brown and I think it is light because it is meant to be a guide and to measure out the brows. It can get much darker if need be but I like the pigmentation as it is.

Overall Experience
I really like this product and would definitely recommend. It is on the pricey side but well worth it if your lookng for a good brow product. I mean it isn't as expensive as others I seen but it isn't a drugstore price either so a happy medium for a great product. It does the job and has great color to it. It is super easy to use and it gives light fluttery strokes to fill it in and a marker side to draw the lines if you aren't that blessed with brows.

My rating is:
This is a 4 and a half rating for me.There is something off for me which is the price as I'm sure they are more affordable options out there. Other than that I really like it and it really does it job well. It passes all my standards but I haven't been doing y brows long enough to have standards but so far so good and they do a great job making my brows look somewhat decent.

That is it for my first brow product review. I now get the brow hype and it does make a difference. I thought before it was nothing but nicely shaped brows, a good lip color is my go to look right now for everyday. I really like Happy Skin and been loving a few of their products and may need to do more reviews. Also if you want to support local brands they are amazing and have been my brand crush at the moment and I really want to get their newly released matte lippies. They do ship internationally if you are really interested. I hope this was helpful and let me know what you do for your brows and how you maintain them.

This Summer Time | What I Wore

Summer Colors

Happy Thursday! Welcome to my go to summer outfit out at the moment. I've been obsessed with this denim skirt and I just love how many ways I can style and how much it goes with a lot of my existing clothes. This is what I wore on a day out at the mall and then afterwards to a mall show featuring some of the actors from my favorite TV show. So here is the details of everything I have on.

For my outfit I brought out my first peplum top I ever bought and loved it and still do. It is nice and light and the perfect print for spring and summer. Of course the denim skirt is back and mine is actually pretty comfortable and not too thick for a summer day which that day it was boiling hot. Next is my Chloe dupe bag which I thought the colors looked great with my top and they did. I been after some new sandals and I finally picked these white t-strap sandals and they are the perfect sandal right now and a nice dressed up footwear instead of flip flops but just as comfy. For the jewelry I'm still loving my crystal heart necklace, a blush pink and hot pink charm bracelet and these circle drop earrings which matches perfectly with my top and I found another outfit to wear them with. Lastly these nude cat eye sunglasses as the sun was all in my face with these pictures and the same colored bow to tie everything together. That's been my summer uniform and color palette.

Well that's it for my outfit! As I said I wore this to see the actors of my favorite TV show that I raved about so much. Since that show is over they have a movie out in theaters which I wasn't sure if I was going to watch but I took my aunt because she was such a fan too and we ended up getting tickets and seeing them at their mall show. It was so surreal and even though I met the girl who stars in the movie already at a beauty event it was still cool seeing her again. We ended up standing in the crowd for 5 hours which by the end I was giving up but seeing them was worth it. I vlogged a little bit of it and the performances. It was a great day hanging at the mall before the show and doing a bit of shopping for me, my aunt and my little nephew which is fun shopping for clothes for him. The only downside was me re-injuring my hip by standing so long I guess. I went to the doctor and I'm healing and not in much pain. It was still a cool day and I just have to be more careful next time and not do too much. So that's it and let me know if you've been to a mall show or a movie premiere?

Giveaway Winner Announcement & Update

Winners & Life Lately

Happy Tuesday! I thought I would pop in and do a little catch up post as if you haven't noticed I posted a week ago. I didn't mean to take a week off but it was really needed for me and I hope to get back to my regular schedule hopefully this week but it will probably be next week to be honest.

First up is a little personal insight of what's going on in my life. I got caught up with a few things and since my nephew is staying at my place I need to have all my attention on him because leaving a 2 year to run around my house, play with my makeup that's on my vanity and be a ball full of energy takes it out of you. He's at my aunt's house right now so I got a break to go out and see a movie in the cinema but it turns out the people staring in a local movie was at the mall so I stood and waited for them. I will talk more about this in my outfit post of what I wore that day though. I mentioned it though because standing for 5 hours straight for a movie premiere really hurt my hip again. Back in November I managed to injure it in ballet class and it got better on it's own but standing for 5 hours straight on it had made the injury come back and worse then ever. Before I didn't go to the doctor and it healed on it's own but this time it drove me nights and I woke up screaming and crying as I was in so much pain. It hasn't been fun and now I am afraid to sleep because it will start throbbing and I can' move my leg. I hate doctors so it took a lot of convincing to get me to the hospital but I managed to go this morning and got an x-ray done and everything looks clear. I didn't break any bones or my hip socket is not out of joint which I am happy for. I did over stretch a muscle by my hips so that is what is wrong. The doctor prescribed me some medication that will make me tired and drunk a little bit he said so I think it will be hard this week but hope it makes me feel better so I can be back and I had so many exciting things to do and places to go this month but my hip has spoiled it so far. As I'm typing it is doing a little better but I just have to let it heal again.

I did take a week off and missed my normal 3 posts a week schedule but a break here and there refreshes yourself. I had so many posts planned for May and I still do so hopefully those will be up. I just need to get writing all of them. I'm also working on a Get Ready With Me video which has taken my time up as well. I hope to get it finished but with the medicine I'm on I don't know if I could focus on the video for this week but I'm trying. Another blog update is I picked the giveaway winners and I will announce them now! *drumroll*

400 Blog Follower Giveaway: Hayley Murphy
Frimoo Sunglasses Giveaway: Natasha Lamoreux

I wish I can let everyone win especially the people who I see commenting and being such nice people on my blog. I do have another giveaway coming up and I am super close to 600 followers on Bloglovin' now so maybe that would be cool. By the way I messed up the first one and forgot to get a screenshot as my laptop messed up and I couldn't find the winner again but luckily I wrote her name down. The second giveaway winner is announced on the rafflecopter widget itself if you want to check it out.

There is a lot of things going on but I wanted to not blog because I missed it. I literally haven't opened up my laptop in a week so it is nice to be somewhat normal. Hope you have been having a nice week and let me know anything you have exciting coming up. I think I will still be able to make it to my events planned so that's nice but my stupid hip had to get my attention. I'll hopefully see you in a normal blog post soon!
