Happy Friday! It's the weekend and what better time to show you what's in my travel wash bag and what I bring with me in case you are off on an adventure of your own. I love reading these kinds of posts and love to see inside everyone's bag so here is one of mine. These are some of the items I packed when I went on a two day and one night stay to my cousin's house about a month ago now. It was a spur of the moment trip and literally I was woken up at 7am to pack as quick as I can and we were out the door a couple hours later. You might have saw on twitter how confused I was because I had gone to bed at 4 am and getting only 3 hours of sleep to all of a sudden pack a few days of clothes was an experience. I thought I could sleep in the car so I threw everything I needed into my overnight bag and packed my wash bag in the span of an hour. I know impressive and I still don't know how I managed it as I was so sleep deprived. Let's have a glimpse inside...
It depends on where I am going, how long I am staying and the conditions of the place I am going. But in general this is what I bring with me and it sometimes varies more or less. To start off with my shampoo and conditioner. I use the Keratin Complex Shampoo and Conditioner set that is perfect because it is travel size. I got this inside a BDJ Box and it comes in handy every time I travel. The sad part is it is running out and I can either buy more or in the meantime just refill it with the ones I'm currently using. It is no big deal because it is so nice that the containers are refillable. Next up is my bar soap. I am currently using the Lush Buffy Bar and it goes into their metal tins and what's great is when I run out of it as well I an just pop in any of my bar soaps to take. It isn't that big so it can fit into my wash bag just fine. For more body products since I am really into them I have a body wash which is the Soap & Glory Clean on Me Body Wash and I really like the container and could use it over but in the process of taking pictures of this I lost the cap hence why you see it is open. As for my body scrub I have a mini tub of the Soap & Glory Scrub 'Em & Leave 'Em Body Buff and I tend to bring a body scrub with me because my cousin has a well water pump and the water is rough and hard and using this makes my skin better for it.
Now for some other stuff. I bring some skincare things and I forgot to include them here but I tend to bring my St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub as a face wash and I don't use toner that much so none of that but I do bring my face moisturizer which is the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream to apply every night. I do have a few lotions which one that isn't pictured as well is the Canmake Pink Grapefruit Body Cream which is my current favorite body lotion. After that is a hand cream which comes in handy (pun intended) especially after being in an air conditioned car half the day so the Soap & Glory Endless Glove Hand Cream is perfect for just that. Lastly for the lotions I have mosquito repellant cream and I don't take this all the time but at my cousin's house she lives in the country surrounded by the mountains so this is a life saver up there. I used to not believe in them but now I think it kind of makes a difference so having the OFF Scented Mosquito Repellant Cream really can help me get less mosquito bites. For hair stuff I don't bring much for my hair and tend to bring one or two products and a hair tool to limit myself and since discovering the Honea Curl Defying Milk Hair Lotion it is the only product I need for doing my hair and it works with my curling iron or if I just need to scrunch it after I shower. It's a pretty good all around product and I'm starting to like better than mousse.
I have other boring stuff and might have a few more other bits and bobs I drag along with me as well but for the last product is my toothbrush. I know surprising it isn't hot pink but you are wrong mine is but my travel one isn't because I couldn't seem to find one. I bring along some Colgate Maximum Protection Toothpaste in a sachet to be extra compact and just stick it in on the top of my wash bag.
I forgot to tell you about the wash bag. I got it as a BDJ Elite Box and it held a lot of awesome products in it. The bag was a perfect size and it can hold quite a lot of things in it so I just load everything into it and grab the handle to take with me. I love the color and pattern of it as well and it actually blends well with my travel makeup bag so that is cool. I'm hoping to put up a makeup bag edition to this as well. I'd love to know what you take with you and if you have anything unique that you carry in it. I hope you enjoyed what's inside and the products I shared and I hope it wasn't too rambling. Also I'd love to know what other travel size items I can get because I got a lot of these from beauty boxes and want to find a few more. Hope you have a great weekend and let me know if you are off to anywhere exciting.
