Preppy Waldorf Style What I Wore

My first outfit post of the year and it is a pretty one. It's taken me so long to do an outfit post but I am finally catching up and this is the first one for the year. I actually have quite a few I have stocked up on but I didn't have the chance to edit them until I got back. So I went to a Christening of my mom's friend and she was picked a godmother and I decided to tag along and I knew I wanted to dress up all fancy and I do love going to these types of events with my parents because it gives me another reason to dress up.

I pretty much blame binge-watching Gossip Girl the night before that's what influenced me to choose this outfit. I'm in love with everything Blair Waldorf's style and all her outfits on the show are just so amazing so I kind of put my own twist and created this look which I'm pretty proud of and really love this outfit. I think I picked a pretty good first outfit for the year and just love this whole look. I also think I have found more of my style and want to incorporate more looks like this because this was just so fun to wear.

I paired a plain floral tee with a skater skirt and I am so in love with this skirt as it is just lovely and perfect. I also added my white cardigan as it was a little chilly that day and if you couldn't tell it was actually drizzling in the photos but we were underneath a patio so it was all good. for the jewelery I wore my chunky necklace and a few bracelets as well. I grabbed my small cross over bag as well as I thought navy would be a nice touch. Lastly I threw on some black flats to pull it off with a matching bow of course.

I had a lovely day with my parents and loved seeing my parents' friends little girl as she was so small and cute and I just love babies. The venue of the reception was as you can see from the pictures so nice and too bad it was raining or it looked so good to go for a dip in that pool. It was definitely a great location and the food and entertainment was great too.

That's my first outfit post and I do hope you loved this outfit as much as I did wearing it and I felt so bad having to take it off afterwards. Until next outfit post.
