Glamourbox Unboxing | April 2014 Perfectly Pristine

Today I'm sharing my second Glamourbox I received last Friday. This is my second time getting the Glamourbox and after enjoying the one I received in January I signed up once again and kept my subscription. If you haven't read that unboxing you can find it here. I bought it on a Wednesday and it arrived Friday but I usually buy it at the first of the month when they open subscription but without my paycheck I couldn't but I got an email saying they had some left so I snatched it up right away. I like that I got it so quickly but I can't always do that since they have limited slots. So let's get into it and see what is inside this month's Glamourbox.

Upon opening the lid I was so excited that the paper was green this month and it had the sticker like last time. Again it smelt amazing upon lifting the cover off which is more exciting and I really enjoy that. I wanted a box with different brands and products inside instead of a brand exclusive this time because the last two months were strictly the brand box. I like the mix and that for me is what is a beauty box but  it is nice trying a lot of things of the same brand but I would want it once in a while.

This months box is themed 'Perfectly Pristine' which I was curious why when I got the email. It comes with the card again with the introduction and then on the back shows what is inside. I usually look at it last as I like looking everything first and I'm like a little kid picking up what is exciting first. So basically this month the theme was to bring back your original pristine self and have products that could help you out with that. I love that idea and really have been wanting to change out my routine myself and I'm trying to get healthy so this couldn't have come at a better time.

It was really packed this month which is a plus and the package was so heavy so I knew there was going to be exciting things inside as it was super heavy to get into my room. The box could hardly close because of it and it was still protected as best as it can but the products were just over flowing which had me really excited to see the contents and try them out. I got what I was wanting and there was a nice mix of products and the theme was great this month. I just loved going through it but it is so hard waiting to do so as I wanted to take pictures. It is so a first world beauty bloggers problem.

VANILLA & CO. Blushing Foot Spray with Eucalyptus Oil
Relieve tired feet from sore muscles. Eucalyptus, peppermint oil and tea tree oil will instantly relax, cool and remove odor from your pinkies, leaving them pink and healthy.
Full size 150ml. / P170
This was an interesting product and I actually think I would use it and it will help me after ballet class as my feet are sweaty and hurt from being on my toes for half a day so I might pop this into my dance bag to see if it gets rid of the order as well. Being a dancer sometimes makes my feet sore and unpleasent so this another thing I like from the box this month. The smell is a little strong but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

ZEN ZEST Anti-Mosquito Room Fragrance
Feel instantly invigorated with this wondrous combination of citronella, lemongrass and eucalyptus. It’s mosquito-repelling power is a big bonus!
Sample Size 50ml.
Full Size 250ml. / P250
This smells okay and I like room fragrances but never go out and buy any as I have a bad allergies with smells but when I sprayed it I think it was fine. I like the lemon scent and since there are always so many mosquitoes this would be great for my room and it can smell nice instead of those nasty other ones.

BARENATURALS The Mane Event Nourishing Hair Mask
Get ready for an all-natural hair mask that truly delivers! Infused with oat proteins and oils of macadamia nut, argan and colza, it helps condition, detangle, fight static and rebuild damaged hair.
Full Size 130g / P380
This is my most favorite thing I got from the box this month. I love hair masks and I really wanted to try a macadamia nut and argan one so this is perfect. I cant wait to use it and review this for you guys. It came with a full size and if I love it I know I will be purchasing this. My hair needs some serious TLC from all the straightening I did in high school and now it is real damaged so I'm hoping this will give back the moisture and softness after I get it cut.

BARENATURALS Sexy Back Scrub with Sacha Inchi Oil
This back scrub made with lulur exfoliants and antioxidant-rich sacha inchi oil fights and sloughs off bacne and other common skin woes. It's all you need for a smooth and sexy back!
Full Size 130g / P290
The back scrub sounded interesting and I want to try it. I've never used one so I hope I like it. I think this was another full sample but the sticker says it is 170g instead of 130g as the label and card read. It was probably a mess up but it means I get a whole lot more. It comes with a little spatula thing to apply with which would be easy for me to get the product.

BELO ESSENTIALS Intensive Whitening Bar
Get fairer, rosier skin quick! Belo expertly combines tranexamic acid with kojic acid for this soap that has 64% more lightening power than using kojic acid alone.
Full Size 65g / P59.75
There are so many whitening soaps on the market but I never buy one to try and me being half-American I have fair skin as it is but still I got a tan from the hot sun here but it's not like I'm super dark. I know Glamourbox did a Belo exclusive box in February which I didn't get but I missed the deadline and when I found it was products I weren't really interested in I was kind of glad. I haven't tried anything from Belo and I might not use this as my cousin wanted it as she was a fan so I gave it to him. I'll ask if it is worthwhile though and if it is I can get one myself.

AVON Skin So Soft Fast Hydration Body Gel Lotion
Instantly hydrate & revitalize your skin with the refreshing sensation of this fast-absorbing gel lotion enhanced with watermint oil & vitamin E. Enjoy the light feel yet rich, long-lasting hydration. The fresh-scented gel lotion leaves skin touchably soft all day.
Full Size 250ml. / P330
My aunt is obssed with Avon and I think she mentioned this a few times but I never order anything as I lik to see it in person and try others but this was nice to include a full size. I like the consistency and I've read others are liking it as well so I'm excited to try a body gel lotion instead of a regular lotion.

SEBAMED Olive Face and Body Wash
Have harsh skin soaps made your skin dry and irritated? Protect the skin and bring back its lost lipids with this extra mild, soap-free cleanser with ph 5.5. It’s great for sensitive skin!
Sample Size 20ml.
Full Size 200ml. / P525
I like trying new face washes and the bottle this one came in was so cute! I never heard of the brand but I can't wait to try it out. I don't really use two in one products but I want to try new things. This came in a small sample size but I guess it is okay to see if I like it first before I get it.

Break free from chemicals! V&M Naturals Smooch is petroleum-free and is only made out of the finest oils making lips younger-looking and healthy. It is known to relieve and highly moisturize chapped, even bleeding lips and protect it from sun damage.
Sample Size 5g
Full Size 10g / P205
Another lip balm in my box but this time it was a small sample size in this jar instead a tube like the one I got last time. As I said I love trying new lip balms and I have a collection and this is just another to add. At first I thought it was something else like a cream or lip scrub but I read it was a lip balm which it still got me excited. It is very minty and has such a strong scent like Vicks and it put me off but I am still going to try it. The other one I got from Snoe was minty as well but not that strong of smell and on the lips so I hope this one is close to the same at least.

ALOE DERMA Pure Aloe Vera Gel
Tote this on your next adventure! With 99% organic aloe extracts, this multipurpose gel gives soothing relief to dry and irritated skin like sunburn, minor cuts and wounds, insect bites and acne.
Sample Size 3 x 5g Sachets
Full Size 114g / P460
I bunr easily and when I saw these I thought they would be a relief for when i go on vacation for the summer coming up. I got three small samples in sachets and my two cousin got one each so I was left with one to try out.  hope they do go for me and relieve my skin because I hate sunburns.

VALDA Pastilles
For instant cooling relief and fresh breath, just pop one of these chewable pastilles on your mouth!
Sample Size 20g
Full Size 50g / P150
A food sample almost. I gave these to my mom as she said she liked them and she needed it for her sore throat. The look interesting and I like that they are soft and soothing which I would try if I was sick. It had quite a lot too in the small sample.

CLEAN Shower Fresh
This uplifting, juicy scent captures that just stepped out of the shower freshness. Not heavy, overwhelming or pretentious, shower fresh is citrusy and bright yet subtly sexy. It's a crisp but understated quintessential soapy scent.
Sample Size Perfume Sampler
Full Size 30ml. / P2,000
This perfume sample was not for me and made me sneeze as soon as I got it so god thing my aunt was eying it o it wouldn't go to waste. She loved it and loved the fresh new scent but I can't wear anything that makes me sneeze or else I would never stop. I also got a coupon that I didn't get a picture of but it is for if you buy something from the collection you get another free or something. I am giving it to my aunt as well as I wont be using it.

That was everything in my box and it was a great month I think. Only a few things were not my taste and I loved the variety as I wanted to try new things and to also be surprised what it came with. I was avoiding all spoilers as possible so I can see for myself and I tell you it was pretty hard as it was popping up.

As for the overall review of this month's Glamourbox I think it was worthwhile. This box had 6 full size items, 2 main samples and three add ons on top of that. The add ons include 0.88 ml Clean fragrance sample and coupon, 3 x 5g Aloe Derma sachets and 20g Valda Pastilles. The Box Value this month of the Perfectly Pristine Glamourbox was Php 1059.75, for a Php 595 subscription. That right there proves you are getting some pretty good things with your money.
I can't wait to get next months and see what I get then. I love doing these and I have new things to try which is always a fun thing for a person obsessed with beauty bits. I hope you enjoyed look at my April box as much as I did and if you got one did you enjoy everything or were you not really into it. That's one f the risk with this and I was so scared but excited but once again I was impressed with Glamourbox and I hope they get better and better like they are.

You can visit glamourbox.ph for more info or to order yourself a box for next month. You can also visit their facebook and twitter as well.

What did you think of this month's box?

Sunday Summaries | April 27, 2014

Monday was again a blogging day for me because I had to get everything organized, written and schedule before my life gets hectic again. It's a good thing I spent several days last week taking blog pictures and also a few outfit pictures to last me the rest of this month and probably two weeks in May but by then I will have time again so I hope I can keep up with this schedule. I'm doing real good in keeping organized and having everything prepared as I am so motivated to get everything done right now and have stuff written and I'm focused. I actually stuck with being more full time and after my blog revamp I felt like I love it even more now.

On Tuesday I had a not fun day as I was super stressed trying to enter a summer film class on campus and their system was terrible so it was postponed and I had to commute for the first time in 2 years on public transportation just to get there and to find out it was canceled was horrible. I have gotten so used to driving my own car but it had to be put into the dealer to get serviced so I missed it so much. Another thing was it was so hot that day and I felt like I was going to pass out from the humidity. Not good what so ever but at least my parents got food delivered that night so that was a plus for a bad day.

Now on Wednesday I had to go back and I thought that the car as supposed to be ready but apparently it wasn't so again I took public transportation. I have so much respect who do that everyday as it takes so much out of me and I was just so tired and my body was really getting a workout. Again it was really hot and when I arrived there was a line and not many staff and it was getting so late but I made it. I got some bad news that day and I jut had another horrible day that I wish didn't happen but i can't change it.

The summer course was supposed to start on Thursday so I went in at 8 at the scheduled time but waited their for 2 hours before knowing there were still a lot of problems and I wont be able to do it yet.The system is so messed up and really made me disappointed. I finally talked to the guy in charge and we got everything taken care of and I would be starting on Monday. I had o take public transportation again and waking up at 6 in the morning going there and having it canceled is the worst feeling but I got my car in the afternoon so my dad picked me up and we went to the mall to hang out and he took me shopping to cheer me up after the awful week I was having. It was nice and I definitely got some stuff and cant wait to do a haul.

Since I didn't have to go in on Friday I got to go to the mall again as my dad's Samsung S4 broke and the firmware was messed up on it so we had to go see if we could get it fixed. We also searched for new phones and was looking at different things. I went shoe shopping and had to order a pair as they didn't have my size. I left my dad and went to the beauty counters as he wanted to go to the computer section but I don't blame him. I had my car back which was easier to get around in so we spent are day at the mall.

The highlight of my week was going to a beauty event on Saturday. After a terrible week I was having I got to be invited to a store opening at Skinfood which is a Korean cosmetic brand. I had such a great experience and it definitely made me smile after being so miserable and sad and emotional it gave me back my drive again. AFter the event my dad came to hang out with me once again to finally get his hone fixed and he did. I was listening to him 24/7 complaining about how it didn't work and he finally got it to work again. We went out for dinner and he took outfit photos for me and he even created an instagram account for him after being obsessed with facebook the past few months. As you could see we took a selfie and got dessert together.

On Sunday I was planning on having a relaxing blogging day to get caught up on everything but my dad woke me up declaring he wanted to go buy a tablet for himself after we spent the past 3 days of so looking around he was bound determined. If you couldn't tell I was going to the same mall sine Wednesday but i forgot to mention it. Imagine going to the same mall everyday. We went out again but this time a different mall (surprise, surprise.) He go what he wanted but we went to a different mall again to look for accessories as that mall was very small. We ended up going to the mall we always go to by our house and to make up for his large purchase he bought me a few things. I have a collective haul coming that is huge but I am still waiting 'till I have no class to go clothes shopping so once I do I will let you know when I'll post my haul.

I had a jam packed week if you couldn't tell and in the latter part it started looking up. I hope you enjoyed this weekly recap and are enjoying them as well. I like having to write down what I'm doing and feeling as it makes me feel better. If you are having a bad week too we can get through it together and I guess t is better in the end as it turned to be pretty interest the past few days. I need to be going now as I am so tired and I'm finishing up this post very late at night after getting home and my summer course starts tomorrow so I better get going.

What gets you through a terrible week?

Fashion Finds | Dainty Jewelery

I've always been the girl who adores dainty jewelery. My philosophy with accessories is less is more and I know I should be braze and venture out of this small world and embrace statement necklaces, chunky bracelets and eye-popping rings but I can't seem to steer away from the lightness of a pendent necklace or a single strand bracelet. Its like I need the simplicity in my life and won't feel the same with out it. So for today's fashion finds I wanted to share some of the pieces I love to wear and how pretty it can be. I know I said I wanted to try more big pieces but I still cant cheat on my love for dainty jewelery pieces.

A string of pearls, gold stud earrings or a diamond bracelet all remind me of classic jewelery pieces I always saw growing up and I guess it just stuck of me loving that classic style and having small pieces that my mother bought for me and let me wear. I did have a phase in middle school when the wild colorful accessories at Claire's were my weakness and I saved up all my allowance just to browse their corny collection and pick up huge hot pink ball earrings and charm bracelets filled with random charms I thought expressed me. Those days were me being naive and thinking I had the cool fashion down but as I look back my best friend and I must have been crazy to think that was ever in style for our generation when it looked like we jumped out of an 80's party. I'm glad I got that phase over with and got back into loving simple jewelery but I do wish I spent my high school years spending more on bulky necklaces to get that phase over it as well or maybe I have time now I don't really know.

For now I am going to enjoy and embrace the simple jewelery and how delicate the pieces are. I really would love to know your preference and if you went through crazy fashion phases as well as I have a few that I'm not too proud off. It is really cool looking back on though and also learning from the mistakes that you make. I hope you enjoyed this fashion finds and share with me some of your favorite dainty jewelery pieces.

What do you prefer wearing when it comes to jewelery?

Nichido Eyeshadow Palette | Review & Swatches

| Nichido Make-Up Collection Eyeshadow Palette and Eyeliner Pencil*

This was featured in the post I did a few weeks ago which was in my Beautybook.ph goody bag you can read here. This palette comes with eight individual size eyeshadow in various colors and two blush shades. It also came with a free eyeliner pencil which was really nice of them. I have never heard of the brand but I think I have seen it in some stores but never paid attention to it. It is a simple palette and has a lot of bold color choices so it isn't your average neutral palette. It has lightweight packaging and the pigmentation is fair. So let's get in with what I thought about this palette.

The packagingis pretty simple and comes in a box wrapped in plastic so it is protected. It is a sleek and shiny plastic case which holds the shadows and when you open it there is quite a big mirror to do your makeup on. It is lightweight and not too big so it can be slipped into a makeup bag or easy to keep for traveling.I just think it is a great compact to have and I love that in packaging.

The colors arranged as light on the top and dark's on the bottom. The colors I wanted to use was the third on the second row as I like chocolate brown colors that have a reddish tint to them. There are three brown neutral colors and three bold colors and the rest are highlight colors. I expected the light ones to not have good pigmentation and the darker colored ones to be just the right amount. I hoped that the colors would be easy to put on but they were not as good as I thought. The blushes kind of looked the same as well. The top picture was shot with artificial light and the second was shot with natural light outside. There is quite a difference and in the packaging they all look so pretty but all different once swatched.

The first row was the lighter shades that probably were made for highlighting the eyes and the inner corners and if it wasn't made for that than they have the worst color pigmentation. The white color was the hardest to swatch and I had to build it up quite a lot to see any color. It is sort of a chalk consistency and it isn't pleasant to try and build up. This was probably swatched about 4-5 times maybe even more to get that exact color. I tried playing with it but that didn't help either. The grey/silver color was one I was excited for but again it was very chalky and hard to get color but it didn't take s many swatches to get this color maybe 3-4 at the most. The light blue was something I didn't know whether it would show up or not and I was right. It was so hard to get that pretty blue and after 4-5 swatches it started to show color. It does have a nice blue once it is built up and would love to try and work with it if I really wanted to. The last color for the first row was the absolute worst. It was so hard to swatch and wouldn't come u in real life let alone in pictures. I was hoping fr a pretty champagne color to have in the lids and a darker brown in the crease but it did not want to swatch what so ever. Maybe for a very subtle highlight to blend with something is the only way I would like it to work. Out of those 4 only didn't show up which is quite good. It is hard to build up but they are probably highlight colors so I think that's why.

The second row had the darker colors and I hoped that thy were better pigmentation and not like the previous row. The purple was very vibrant and I wouldn't have thought it would be. I did build it up a little hear swatching it 2-3 times to show the real color but it can go very light if you chose to. The yellow was the one I knew wouldn't look good but it did have a nice golden shade which I was not expecting. It is actually quite pretty if you want a hint of golden eyes for a look. I did build this one up for about 3-4 times too see how far the color will go without looking cakey or horrible an it didn't see quite bad. The third color which is th reddish brown is a very pretty color but actually too dark and not what I thought. I only swatched about 1-2 times and the color was already vibrant so it would be hard to use this if you want a subtle everyday look. And for the last color which was the brown was a lot more orange than I thought it would be and it also had amazing coverage as well and was swatched 1-2 times as well. The second row was quite promising and I was quite happy with the colors than the previous one. All the shadows had better consistency and the textures were better than the row above. Out of these 4 in this row they had all pretty good pigmentation and good texture so it was better than the first row.

The blushes of the palette were both a pink tone and in the palette they looked quite similar until swatched. One is noticeably darker and the other is lighter with more sparkle. The colors in the picture make it seem their the same but they actually aren't. The one on the left is quite light and has a golden sparkle in it and for me I like it better. The one on the right is darker and has a silver sparkle that is not quite noticeable. They swatch easily and have good texture, color payoff and are quite workable which I like. I love blushes tht give me a natural flush so these are quite good and don't make you look too embarrassed.

The eyeliner was a nice extra to received and I thought since it was a freebie with the palette that it as going to be this cheap pencil that would be difficult to sharpen and just be terrible but when I opened it up I was surprised to find a retractable eyeliner that had a nice point and great consistency. I was very impressed and as soon as I swatched it I loved it even more. It isn't really a pencil but more like a gel type that can be smudged out. I haven't had an eyeliner like this in a while so this was a worthwhile extra. It gives a great line and easy to apply even with me no being that good with eyeliner. I have applied it on my waterline as well for a dark look I went for an evening and it is a lovely eyeliner. It is really dark and comes off with makeup remover or soap and water easily but doesn't smear and run which is great. I will be picking up a full size of this if they have one when this runs out.

Now for the review:

C O L O R  | ♥♥♥♡
The shadows had a vibrant variety over the neutral ones so I am considering this a color palette. They are all different and quite good with the pigmentation. Some colors have to be built up to see its true color but some shades swatched easily and had very good color in it. The blushes were both as well nice shades but very similar with each other making it not vary as good.
P A C K A G I N G | ♥♥♥♡
I did like the packaging as I love having palettes to look sleek and professional looking. It is light weight and compact so it is easy to carry and travel with if you like the palette. The big plus for me is the big mirror it comes with to see your makeup and create your eye looks. The only thing I don't like is that it attracts finger prints when you touch it so it is wise if you don't use it with eyeshadow on your hands.
A B I L I T Y  T O  W E A R  | ♥♥
I don't think this is a great everyday palette besides the 3 neutral shades if you're like me and like the natural and subtle look. A lot of the colors are fun and dark colors and ones that I don't think I would be wearing much of.

M Y  T H O U G H T S |
What I like:
♡ Fun colors to use in creative looks & a cheap alternative for costume makeup.
♡ The packaging of this product is light and easy to travel with.
♡ It comes with a large mirror to apply or touch up your makeup.

What I don't like:
♡ Not much color selection.
♡ Has a few shadows that don't show up well.
♡  It can attract fingerprints easily as it is a shiny material.

♡ I like the palette but wish it had more color pay off with the lighter shades. You really have to really apply them over and over and it creates a cakey look so I wish that was different. I expected this palette to have horrible eyeshadows as the colors at first glance look bad but they are actually butter than I thought.
 OVERALL: ♥♥♥♡♡
♡ This palette is a great to use for creative looks and considering the price. I like it but don't know what I can use it for besides the couple of shades. The other thing is that the shadows aren't named which is kind of sad but I don't really expect to have names like the higher end shadows. It is a lovely palette and for the price and how many shadows and 2 blushes it is good.

Would I recommend this product?
I think I would recommend this for young girls just starting discover makeup or trying to play with eyeshadow and want a cheap palette that they can use to create everyday look or fun and playful looks.I'm not sure about the brand but the eyeliner is so good so I would recommend that as well for beginners because it creates a nice line.

I hope you enjoyed my first makeup review. To be honest it was quite hard and I didn't know much to say but with enough times doing it I will probably get the hang of it. This was the third eyeshadow palette I have and really like it if it had more shades I could use. I remember buying the first one I had from Covergirl and thought it was amazing so seeing all the ones come out make me want to get more. I hope to do another one of these soon and have more reviews coming up.

What was your first eyeshadow palette you ever bought?

Frankie Magazine Daily Journal 2014

I have been very organized with my blog for the past month and I am glad I stuck to that promise and revamping my blog helped it so much. I use this planner/diary to keep me organized and I love it to pieces to help me in everyday tasks and it makes me remember things and actually get them done. I got this from the lovely Aimee over at A Oui Bit Of during her giveaway as she had an extra and I was lucky enough to win it. I received this a while ago and promised to blog about it but I just got around to it as you can't really see it written in it but this month has been packed with blog posts already scheduled but I squeezed it in to show you this lovely journal. I even received a lovely card and have it posted on my inspiration board as it is so cute and so thoughtful.

I love the size and the material of the cover. I don't know what it is but I love the texture and the smell of it. For me it is such a pretty book and I get to take it with me. It is the perfect size and not too heavy even though it is a hardback. The color is quite pretty and something I wouldn't look at since I love pink but it is lovely and just has me smitten of how perfect this planner is for me.

The pages are so pretty and I love looking at it. At first I was so hesitant to write in it but now I do and I am still super careful. It has months, weeks and other pages that helps me out to keep my life organized and I just love using it and it does make me more motivated. So if you re having a hard time with organization I suggest you get a journal you have fallen in love with and you will end us using it and notice improvements in your day and how organize you are getting everything done.

Once again, thank you Aimee! I love it and it was such a nice thing to giveaway. I love the layout and the material and I hope to pick on up myself next year as it is a lovely planner. If you use one I would love to know what you think of it too and how much you like it.

What planner do you use for keeping your life organized?
